SOURCE: Delphi NA10000 Losses Power, Turns OFF

I had the same problem and was able to fix it by finding a replacement cigarette lighter power cord with the same voltage and polarity. Input to cord is 12Volts. Output to GPS is 5Volts, with a positive center post.

PS I need an instruction book and disks (or disk copies) if you know where I can get them. Delphi no longer has them.

JVC head unit AV won't turn on. Resulting in no sound at all

If your JVC head unit AV is not turning on and you're getting no sound at all, there could be several possible causes. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the head unit is properly connected to the power source and that the fuse is not blown. If the head unit is not getting power, it will not turn on.
  2. Reset the head unit: Sometimes, a simple reset can solve the problem. Look for a small reset button on the front or back of the unit and press it with a pointed object like a pen or paperclip. If there is no reset button, you can try disconnecting the power source for a few minutes and then reconnecting it.
  3. Check the wiring: Make sure all the wiring is properly connected, including the ground wire. Loose or damaged wiring can cause the head unit to not turn on or produce sound.
  4. Check the speaker connections: Make sure the speakers are properly connected to the head unit and that the wiring is not damaged. If the speakers are not properly connected or the wiring is damaged, you will not hear any sound.
  5. Try a different source: If you're using an external device, such as a CD player or MP3 player, try a different source to make sure the problem is not with the external device.
If none of these troubleshooting steps work, the problem could be with the head unit itself and it may need to be repaired or replaced.

I have the IQ 4522DJBT bluetooth speaker and i am having trouble charging my unit how do you know when its your power cord.

  1. Check the power cord for visible damage: Look for any frayed wires, cuts, or broken connections. If you find any damage, the power cord will need to be replaced.
  2. Try a different power source: Plug the speaker into a different outlet or power source to see if the issue is with the outlet.
  3. Use a different power cord: Try using a different power cord to see if the issue is with the cord that came with the speaker.
  4. Check the charging port: Make sure the charging port on the speaker is not damaged or obstructed. Clean it if necessary.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, the problem may be with the speaker itself and it may need to be repaired or replaced

Panasonic cn-mw100d will not turn on but power is coming to unit

The Panasonic CN-MW100D is a portable navigation device. If it's not turning on even though power is coming to the unit, it could be caused by a few different things.
  • First, check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the device and the power source.
  • Second, check the battery level, if the device has a battery, if the battery is dead, replace the battery or charge it.
  • Third, check the fuse, if the fuse is blown, replace the fuse.
  • Fourth, try doing a hard reset by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.
  • If none of the above steps resolve the issue, then the problem may be with the internal hardware of the device and it may need to be repaired or replaced.

Lowrance Mark 5x DSi won't power up

If your Lowrance Mark 5x DSi won't power up, there are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the unit is properly connected to a power source that is providing the correct voltage. Check the power cable and connections for any damage or loose connections.
  2. Check the fuses: The Mark 5x DSi has a fuse on the back of the unit. Check to make sure it hasn't blown. If it has, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
  3. Reset the unit: Try resetting the unit by pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds. This will force the unit to shut down and reset.
  4. Check for water damage: If the unit has been exposed to water or moisture, it may be damaged. Check for any signs of water damage, such as corrosion on the connectors or internal components.
If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to take the unit to a professional for repair or replacement.

My rx 675 wont turn on. the red stand by light flashes and that is it.

Try holding the 'tone control' and 'info' buttons and pressing power. This should allow the unit to turn on. See what the front display says at that point. I tshould show some kind of protect code. If the unit turns on and stays on normally after that, then you may have had a temporary problem that was cleared by disconnecting everything. If it turns back off right away, then you will have to get it repaired as something internal has been damaged.

I won an acoustic solutions flatscreen. When I try to switch it on from the remote only the blue power light shhows and no picture. Can anyone help. By the way I am in the UK

A few options that i can think of...
First, make sure the input source (Cable, Satelite, DVD player) is selected on the TV. You should have a "source" button or "input" button on the remote to cycle through the various input options. Push the source/input button several times in case it is set to an input jack where you have nothing connected.

Second, your backlight might be burned out (or the power supply for the backlight). Tonight, turn off all the room lights and close the shutters (I assume you have them since you are in the UK : )) Anyhow, turn on the TV and watch for any amount of light changing on the screen. Even if the TV not getting an input signal, you should see some different shade of Gray/Black when you turn the unit on.

If you do not see any amount of light (gray/black change) when you turn the TV on in total darkness, your backlight is not working. Either the bulbs are burned out, loose or never connected correctly; or, the power supply for those lights are not working.

The backlight on this unit is likely a compact flurescent tube. If this is the case, you can try to change the tube (about 50 to 100 quid for the bulb alone).

Check the manufacture data on the back panel. Likely near where the cord comes out of the unit. If it says 2009 or earlier, I would just get a new one.

Thats about all I can suggest because repairs on these units are nearly impossible for the DIY crowd and parts are so expensive that a new one is a better use of your money in most cases (I almost said a better investment but, since its value will never go up, it will never be an investment).

Cheers!

The radio is getting power and the blue light around the the volume knob is staying on but the rest of the unit isn't powering on

I would try and check two different items. First, using a multimeter or test light ensure that there is correct voltage going to each of the sources and you have a good solid grounding source. Second is trying a reset to the unit.

Our refrigerator lights are all flashing and the ice dispenser continuously opens and closes.

I have reviewed your problem and have the fallowing for you to aces.
This sounds like to have had a power serge and a possible problem in a power board.
Please try the fallowing.
First, disconnect the unit from its power source.
Next, please check voltage at the power source and verify that it is correct.
Next, please check the ice maker and remove any ice or particles that may be restricting normal operation.
Note... I assume that the unit is cooling and freezing properly, as you have no listed complaints.
Note..... I am asking you to disconnect the unit from its power source and not turn unit off and control panel.
Also, You will want the unit to sit for at least 10 minutes with power disconnected, in order for the unit to reset.
Finally, please re-connect the power source and in available, please push reset on panel.
I the unit work properly afterword's, please have unit serviced asap.
Please let me know if you need anything.

Lost power- will not come back on

If you have a multimeter you should be able to check the out voltage on the powersupply to make sure the power cable isn't at fault. You may also try wigling the power cord a little bit to see if the unit will then get power. If so you have a faulty powercord. If there are any fuses they should usually be accessible from the outside; that's the point with them - they should be easy to change. I would put my money on the power cable. If you have access to a diferent power source try that out. If the unit works with a different power source your power source is at fault. If it still doesn't work the problem is within your unit. Check to see if any pins on the power source and/or the units power plug might be bent or dirty.
