I bought a 3TB Seagate Backup Plus Desktop drive (STCA3000101). I connected it to my Belkin N750 wireless router. The light above the USB port is lit and I can see the drive on my Win 7 64 bit PC. But when I try to Browse the drive, I get an access permission error. Do I have to allow something else say via a firewall or something?
Usually you don't need to setup any additional settings or creating new users on the Belkin router to access an USB HDD attached to it, if you used the Belkin Router Manager to set it up.
The Seagate drive you are using have it's own power supply, so that should not be a problem. Also the accepted formats are FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS formatted HDD.
You can try to set it up again using the manager. This is the user manual for your router, if it helps:

If you still can't get it working, let me know and we will try to find another solution.

Just plug this router in and use the ethernet cable.
now use the (e) internet icon in your programs list. you will get an "cannot connect to internet" page or something like that.
in the TOP search area eg: address bar ...type in the ip address:192.168.2.1
and it should allow you acess to the site.
remember....you need your broadband account info..
YOU NEED TO GET THIS FAR TO SECURE YOUR WI-FI SYSTEM.
