My eMachines W4685 PC Desktop keeps making a chirping sound like a cricket, and a small orange light blinks in one of the ports, in the back of the tower. my system will not power on until the chirpin

I have already cleaned out the tower with a can of air to get rid of dust. The part that keeps blinking and chirping has a logo on it that says S-tech. I can upload some pictures of the part if they would be helpful.

i tried cleaning the contacts on the ram twice, and my tower still would not power on, i then decided to clean the cpu fan, and discovered that the chirping sound is actually coming from inside the cpu fan housing, and just the light that blinks in sync with the chirp is inside of a port on the back of my tower

does this mean i need a new cpu fan?

It doesn't start at all? It can be that your Ram is faulty and the chirping is coming from a little speaker on your board, I had the same.
Else it can be the cpu-fan, but in sync? I doubt this.
Check your Ram.

Need diagram of the back of a emachines Desktop that shows where everything plugs in

what model do you have? most older emachines, gateway and dells are very similar...1) round purple ps2 to keyboard, 2) round green ps2 to mouse, 3) teal oblong serial 1 is older output to modem, 4) blue oblong vga output to monitor, 5) reddish long oblong is parallel port to printer........ all these are usually not used on newer models...others include a white oblong for dvi to monitor, or small rectangular for hdmi to monitor, as well as the traditional usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 for a multitude of input and output usages...... small round female ports are for sound.. pink for mic, green for main speakers, black for rear surround, gray for side surround, orange for center surround, and blue for line in....may also have an esata port (not used much) and a ethernet port for internet connection (looks like a slightly bigger telephone jack port).... might have a spdif (sony phillips digital interface) for digital audio.....hope this may help...

I have a Dell Optiplex GX520 m/c, when we switch it on, it's on/off switch light keeps blinking in Orange mode.

blinking power button indicates a low or missing voltage problem. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Just to make sure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.

Display starts out OK, but after a few minutes it begins to flicker in the upper corners, and the turns on and off a few times before staying black?! Everything else seems to function OK.... BIOS issue???...

please check the monitor or LCD that you have. because the computer will not flicker if there is a problem on the display. isolate it. use other monitor or LCD then check if it flickers again.

I need to know what colored wires go where on my customers PC hdd led/ power sw/ and power led

the only reason to have removed them was to switch the board or put the board in a new case..if you put a new board the new board is what you have to go by, look in the book, or take the number off the motherboard and go to yahoo and type in schematic for xxxxx board.
DO NOT go by emachine model as its worthless, too many models have different hardware.
This is all basic repair 101, how do you have customers? lol
