Canon PC1060 will not power on

This Canon PC1060 was in storage for a while. After plugging it into an outlet (verified it has power), nothing happens. Tried pushing the powersave button, but no change. No lights, nothing.
The power cord seems to set solidly.
Any ideas? Does it likely need a new power supply? Or is there something else to check?

Thanks

Canon 8800f: Doesn't light up at the on/off switch.Fuse at 13a plug ok.

If your Canon 8800F scanner is not powering on when you press the on/off switch and you've confirmed that the fuse is not the issue, there could be several potential causes for this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and potentially fix the issue:
  1. Ensure that the power outlet you're using is working properly. Plug in another device to the same outlet to verify that it's supplying power.
  2. Examine the power cord for any visible damage, such as cuts or fraying. If you see any damage, replace the power cord with a new one.
  3. Make sure you're using the correct power adapter that came with the scanner. Verify that the voltage specifications on the adapter match the voltage in your region.
  4. Try plugging the scanner into a different power outlet to see if it powers on. Sometimes, outlets can have issues.
  5. Ensure that all the connections, including the power cord connection to the scanner and the power adapter connection to the power outlet, are secure.
  6. Inspect the power button and switch for any physical damage or debris that might be preventing it from working. If there's an issue, you might need to replace the power button or switch.
  7. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a problem with the internal components of the scanner. In this case, you may need to contact Canon customer support or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
  8. In some cases, a hard reset can resolve power issues. To do this, unplug the scanner from the power source and leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes. Then, plug it back in and try turning it on again.
  9. Refer to the user manual of your Canon 8800F scanner for specific troubleshooting steps and contact information for Canon support.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact Canon customer support or a professional technician for further assistance. They may be able to diagnose and repair the scanner or recommend appropriate next steps.
