Start your computer in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 as it's booting up and when you see the Options menu, select the 'Safe Mode with Networking' option. Do some research and see if there are any updates for that software on Lenovo's website. You might not even need that software and might be able to remove it while you're in Safe Mode.

Testimonial: "I already uninstalled the program a reinstalled the latest version from lenovos website when i was posting my problem (didnt help). But I tried the safe mode and i was able to lauch the energy management app and use it , although it was responding unusually slowly."

Hmm..the fact that you're even able to use it in safe mode tells me that there might be another driver that is in conflict with the program. That driver might not be running while you're in SAFE MODE. Go to Lenovo's website and search for ALL the drivers to your machine. Make sure they are all up to date and read the descriptions to make sure you don't have to install some before the Energy Management software.

Lenovo Z500 battery

I did not work for me in the beginning because Z500 didn't know it had a battery.

1. First do a clean install of Windows 7.
2. Install all the drivers only for Lenovo site and respect the restarts. Install Lenovo Energy Management last. Go to Lenovo Energy Management and set it for full Performance.
3. The indicator in the animation should be far right not center.
4. Go to Advanced Power Settings in Control Panel -> Lenovo Energy Management and hit ENABLE
5. Now you restart and you should be able to do the firmware update

6. If you cannot do the firmware update then uninstall LEM, remove ACPI from Device Manager, Reinstall LEM, Enable again.
7. If you cannot do the firmware update then try battery gauge reset in Safe Mode and remove ACPI after, and then Reinstall LEM, Enable.

My lenovo notebook power schemes is not active please rectify

Please check if you have installed a Lenovo Energy Management which can be found by clicking on START>ALL PROGRAMS>LENOVO>LENOVO ENERGY MANAGEMENT folder>LENOVO ENERGY MANAGEMENT, if you did use that to manage power options, that programs controls your power management and the Power Options on Control Panel is over-ridden by this program.

Can't turn on my mp3 player

check to see if it shows up in your computer managment, go to your control panel, open up, administrative tools, open computer managment then go down to disk managment and see if you drive shows up there. if it does, right click, and choose format, and try formatting it again, something may have went wrong the first time, or maybe you formatted it in the wrong format.
