Kenmore side by side refrigerator

A couple of weeks ago my refrigerator stopped giving water, but still makes ice. This weeek it began making a loud noise, maybe fan related. Some may call it a loud humming. i have been in my home 2 years and have all Kenmore appliances. !st my microwave blew, then both my washer and dryer, and now my refrigerator! i'm really not sure of the model.

thanks for your suggestion, i checked the water valves, and actually it was the water tube, it was sliced in half. One half of the tube was in the fan, which was creating all the noise.
We were able to pull the excess water tube throug the opening and attach it to the water valve! Instant success!

    side by side refrigerator

I have a kenmore refrigerator about 20 years old. I noticed it was running all the time. I unplugged it for a while 3 weeks or so , I plugged it back in and after it was running for a while it started making a loud noise now. I have cleaned all the dust off the parts under and behind it. Why would it be running all the time? Would fixing it be to costly?

Ice at bottom of freezer

Make sure defrost drain is completely cleared of ice and anything else obstructing it. Pouring hot water in it is correct, but make sure it is going all the way through to defrost pan under unit.

Ice maker stopped dropping ice or even making ice.

Try using a hair dryer to thaw out the rubber tubing leading to the ice tray. On mine, I opened up the front door to the icemaker and found the rubber tubing leading in. I squeazed it, it felt frozen, so I applied heat. Water began dripping out, the area thawed, and I had ice again within a short period of time.

Kenmore Coldspot Ice maker is not working on our side by side refrigerator

I have a kenmore coldspot side by side model # 106.53662300.
The ice maker red light is blinking and it has made very little ice in the last 24 hours. What do you think the problem is?

Kenmore Coldspot Ice maker is not working on our side by side refrigerator

Just above the tray that holds the ice cubes is a wire bar. If the bar is down, it will make ice. If the bar is up, it will stop making ice. When there is enough Ice in the tray, when the bar comes downm, it will hit the ice. If the bar is not completely down, no ice will be made.

I bet the bar is stuck, or you don't have a water supply to make ice (or it's plugged - de-ice the freezer).
