Try logging on using last known good configuration.
As you boot up, tap the F8 key repeatedly, then choose this option from the menu.
If you do get on, you may want to restore your system to a date before the corruption occurred by using system restore.

    Factory restore

The following information comes from the Panasonic Website:

Recovery DVDs are available by mail for select Toughbook® products. Windows® XP back up service is only available to customers who purchased Panasonic computers with XP downgrade rights. Windows XP Backup Image and Windows 7 Recovery DVDs restore a PC to its original factory image. The standard Panasonic factory image includes the Windows operating system and all drivers/applications originally installed by Panasonic.

Most 2011 models of Panasonic Toughbook computers now have a Recovery partition on the hard drive instead of a Recovery DVD included in the laptop box. The only exceptions are the Toughbook F9, H2 and U1 Ultra which will continue to ship with a Windows 7 Recovery DVD. Besides restoring the computer to its original factory image, the Recovery Partition can also be used to load 64-bit Windows 7 Professional (32-bit ships by default from Panasonic).

You can order the Recovery Disks here:

I want to restore my panasonic cf 74 to original factory

The best way to "Factory" Restore your Panasonic
Toughbook CF74 is to use the original recovery
disk(s) that came with the unit when new.

If you can't find them, you can order them from
    Panasonic at the following website:

    Here is what they say:

    Bios password

On most Panasonic Toughbook models, when you turn on the power and immediately press the "Esc" key, then a new startup menu will be shown.

Simply choose "CD-ROM Drive" as the boot device and make sure that you have previously inserted a CD-ROM in the drive and then the Panasonic Toughbook should startup or "boot" from the cdrom
instead of from the internal hard disk drive.

Where can I download a Toughbook CF-18 Tablet PC Recovery Disk, mine disappeared. rc

Finding a complete recovery disc is prooving difficult. i have found a couple of alternatives to getting a complete install on disc, but they do take a little bit more time.

if you have a copy of the windows which you wish to run your system on. which nowadays arent hard to comeby, then you can use this link as a driver and compac software restore disk
    http://www.user-guides.co.uk/cddownload/Panasonic/PanasonicToughbook/Panasonic-Toughbook-CF-18-XP-Driver-CD-Recovery-Restore-Disk-108878.html

however these downloads / cd'a have to be purchased. i really wouldnt bother with it. drivers and apps for compac arent a must have and usually just do things to make the GUI fancey or easy to use. most drivers will be picked up on windows install and the rest wont be hard to track down. a standard windows install is surfice for most things and runs quicker than an install full of tosh little programs.
