The battery meter lights will flash a flash code when something is wrong. If the lights are flashing the same number of lights each time. get that number it is a flash code. if the lights are cascading up and down that indicates that the Joystick is locked. unlock by turning on the joystick and pushing the horn button twice within 10 sec. of turning on. If I'm sure you can communicate with it by turning the switch to the unlocked position and then to the lights coming on about 3 times and read the blinks that the little light does.
