How to identify function key on emachines keyboard

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Regional and Language Settings

Switch to use the "US English" keyboard,
instead of the "French" keyboard.

Or, if your keyboard has an 'ALT(ternate) GRA(phic)' key, hold that key down, press the '?' key, and a '?' should be displayed.

How do you change brightness on screen on emachines notepads

Look for the "Fn" key at the lower left of the keyboard. Hold this down and look at the "F" or function keys at the top of the keyboard, look for the symbol that looks like the sun or light shining, there may be one key that simply toggles through the settings or there may be two keys, one for brightness and then another for dimming. Most functions will be printed in blue on a notebook keyboard, so also look at the arrow keys to the right, there maybe brightness indicators on the up arrow as well as the down arrow. When ever you want to perform a certain function with these keys, you have to hold down the "Fn" key while pressing the function key.

Goodmorning. My keys are sticking on my E627 and I tried to take it apart but cannot get it apart at the point of where the mouse is....Any suggestions

All keyboards are always held down my screws in the bottom of your laptop casing. Also if you recently drop liquid on your keyboard, you might want to take care of that before it becomes a bigger problem. Note: look for the screws on your case that are marked with keyboard looking symbol. This will help identify which screws you need to remove. Please get back to me with any questions.

What is the function key that transfers the image on my laptop to the tv

It will be Fn key located in lower left side of the keyboard between CTRL key and little flag like key + one of the f keys. The right f key will have a computer screen/kinda tv looking screen on it. Hold Fn key and then press the F key that corresponds to monitor key and it will show you options like just laptop monitor or extended screen or just secondary screen.Hope this is helpful.

I have a dvd/rw,in my emachine, the device manager says it's working properly,yet it will not read any disc i put in it, accept a disc cleaner cd and i have cleaned the drive three or four times, when i put in a cd or dvd, the light comes on like it's trying to read it, but it doesn't, please help me, thanks

No that's the Windows key

For a desktop computer keyboard, keys F1 through F12 are the Function keys. No Fn key needed.

For a laptop computer hold the Fn key down, then tap once on the F1 through F12 keys

Sounds the The F lock is on when your computers starts up, You should see a number or F lock on top or your key board just press that button to disable and let you f keys work again, It must be on in your bios if some one there is computer savoy enough to go into your bios and change the setting so when you boot up next time that won't happen anymore, Ok if thats don't work just write back here and we will try another easy task, Let me Know. SOURCE: can't remove hieroglyphics from keyboard or find function key

One of two things my friend 1 - a virus or 2 which sounds more likely is a corrupt video driver. Best to look up the correct driver on dells site specific to your PC and reinstall
