I have an American Standard in a single hole through the kitchen sink. There is a three-screw ring underneath that seems to tighten the assembly against the sink. I cannot figure out how to remove the entire faucet assembly. Even if I could get the ring off (some special tool?) I can't see how the tubing will fit through the threaded shaft that the ring is screwed on to. Any help will be appreciated. The faucet is leaking at the base where it comes through the single hole. Thanks!
There is a bracket that slides between the threaded shaft and the bottom of the sink. There is usually a nut which is tightened up against this bracket. When this nut is loosened, the bracket will slide out. Of course, you first have to unfasten the two water supply lines. Once the bracket is removed, the two water lines which are made into the faucet are gently bent and the whole thing is removed from the top of the sink. Hope this helps.
