Check with other headphones. Remove drivers. Restart. Reinstall audio drivers.

Sound and Recording jacks stop working on the DV6000 series due to the ribbon cable running under the power button. when the power button is pushed it bends the flex cable and over time it breaks the connection rendering the front jacks useless you can buy a new upper button panel for about 20 dollars on ebay

The microphone on my vtech phone isn't working properly. I can hear people fine, but they can barely hear me.

Please use an external handsfree headphone set and if the voice is clear then the microphone in the phone is a suspect. Please CLEAN the port of the mic on the panel to remvove any obstruction or dirt accumulation.
If this wont help then the microphone must be replaced.

I can hear people, but they can't hear me - apparently my microphone isn't working (and no, it's not set to 'mute')

Check if the microphone is not muted. The mute button is at the top left of the keypad when a call is being received or made. If the mike is not muted, then try the following steps:
I. Switch on phone with SIM Card.
2. Select Menu.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Call.
5. Select Hearing Aid.
6. Set Hearing Aid to OFF. And that should solve the problem. If this does not work then the microphone might be damaged and may need to be changed.

I can here the recipiant - they can hear me and we can both see the videos?? Any ideas?

Can you hear anything. iTunes, other sounds? Have you tried different people. There are 2 things I thought of for this problem. 1, the other person is the same person all the time and they have muted their microphone. 2, you cannot hear anything on your system which could be mute, or a driver problem or a problem that can sometimes occur with the headphone jack port. For #1, have the other person try to record something or go to System Preferences and select sound, and make sure the microphone shows gain when they talk, and make sure the microphone is turned up (see picture for this one.) #2 You can try to unmute in the same system preferences, you can also check to make sure your sound system is working in the same preferences. If it is a headphone jack issue, I would plug in and out head phones into the jack until you can hear something (make sure you can hear through the headphones before this, if the headphones give no sound then don't do this.) Other than those items it would have to be a call apple issue. jp_2010_0.jpg

My headfone ok i can listen other by headfone but my microfone driver not working i wanna update micro fone driver

Hi phool0055 ,

There is nothing as a separate microphone driver that you need to install generally ,
All you need to do is check microphone settings , as to whether they have been changed or the microphone has been muted accidentally.

Please follow the below steps :-

  • In control panel , open sound speech and audio devices
  • The click on the audio , tab where you would find two options , sound playback and sound recording.
  • Sound playback has to do with the sound that you hear , i.e. the headphone sound.
  • Sound microphone has to do with the sound that you record or transmit i.e. microphone.
  • Now you would have two options under sound recording sections, namely volume and advanced.
  • Open the volume and advanced section and check if it has been muted.
  • If it's muted , please unmute it and now you would be able to record your voice or chat using a microphone.
Hope this helps ..:)

People can not hear me but i can hear them

Make sure that the phone isn't muted. There should be a button that looks like a microphone. If it's gray then the phone is muted. If it isn't, try using the camera or something to make sure your phone's microphone isn't broken.

Pin connections of J8 connector on motherboard for connecting front audio headphones and microphone. I have no idea of which pins on J8 to connect the headphones and microphone as they have never been...

As J8 can vary in usage from circuit board to circuit board, it would be somewhat difficult to solve your issue without knowing the manufacturer, model, & revision # of the product in question. However, chances are that the default settings already allow for front audio input use of headphones & microphone. Also, you should investigate your sound settings within the operating system, primarily, (& the sound settings of whichever software program in question, secondarily). Make sure that you UNMUTE the volume for the front speakers. The microphone should only be taken off of mute in the settings for recording volumes--otherwise the output (speakers/headphones) could loop back through the input (microphone), yielding a reverb effect at lower volumes & a horrible sqelch at higher volumes. A communication programs such as Skype® can help with setting the proper level of volume (gain) for the microphone for optimizing your microphone/headphone experience.

Cannot hear sounds through headphones

if you are able to hear normally from the speakers and not from the headphones possible reasons could be:
the audio is muted or very low
there is a mute switch on the headphone that is turned on
the headphone is not firmly plugged in or is in the wrong site eg microphone
hope it helps
please inform if it helps..
