I recently replaced a battery in a 2006 Kia Rio which seemed very quick to me. After replacing the battery, the car radio does not work at all. The fuse blows right away when I try to replace it.

the timing belt will not have anything to do with the motor turning over trying to start. First make sure u do have a very strong battery. Could be a bad connection or a broken wire to starter also.
you might find that you have to put a code in your radio as the power was disconected,the code should be in your manual or the n=main dealer should be able to help, other than that it could be a fuse
By the way, it was REALLY hard to get out but just keep trying & wiggling it & it will come out but it will solve the problem for the radio, clock & interior lights issue when I changed my dead car battery for my 2005 Kia Spectra!!
