left side of player is a slide button. hold it down for 2 seconds. it will power on.

The player should come with the necessary capabilities when you buy it. You may have a firmware issue.

Go to Phillips.com and register the product. Then you can download the latest firmware.

Not the CD itself as far as I know, but you can go to Phillips.com and register your product. Then you can get the software from there.

Create an account through Philips and then you can register the product.

In the back of the Coby is a reset button very tiny use a pin is by the headphone icon, click and wait to reset the product, just follow any instructions at the screen.

The Phillips Go Gear is not compatible to Windows Vista, and there is nothing one can download to make it compatible. I contacted Phillips, and they said that there are no plans to update the software so that it works on Vista. Pass this to everyone that is having a similar problem. Contact Phillips on their website, and request that the Phillips Go Gear software be updated to include Windows Vista. If more people raise a stink (especially threatening never to buy Phillips products), maybe something will be done.

Go to Coby Electronics. Search for your product. If it is more than five minutes old it will not be on the list. It is on the server though. Put in the model number mp-cXX and the manuals are there in pdf form!
