How to turn off the oven light when door is closed. My stove is 15 years old

Check all the screws behind the oven door gasket - in place and tight.
Check that the door gasket is installed correctly and with all clips locked into place.
Check the center hinge receiver, all screws are in place for the front chassis support
Check the underside of the range below the center hinge receiver and make sure all 4 screws are tight and in place.
Check that the door hinges are installed correctly & both mounting screws are secure.
Check that the hinge retainers are closed and not blocked by the hinge cover.
Check the top of door liner with a straight edge - make sure the liner is not bowed more than the width of a dime.
Loosen the door panel top screws to a "relaxed" state. Open and close the door and retighten screws.
Check the light/latch switch assembly - if out of position or stuck in incorrect position.
If everything checks out, and oven light still stays on, replace hinges.

The oven door doesn't close tight

The problem of your oven door not closing tightly could be caused by one of several problems:
* A problem with the door hinges
* Broken oven door springs
* A problem with the gasket inside the edge of the oven door

Oven door does not close properly

When you say "oven door does not close properly", do you mean that it closes but not tightly against the rubber seal on the oven cavity?
Or is it some other closing problem?

If it is the former, then it is a sign of the door hinge springs wearing out. The solution to this is to replace both hinges on the offending door.

Both oven doors do not close properly. lights stay on & can't heat properly with doors not closing tight. is there an adjustment for these doors?

We have similar Jen Air double oven and with the same problem but only on the lower oven. The doors are interchangeable and the top door fits fine but the lower door will not close completely at the top. It does turn out the light but has never cooked properly. I checked with several appliance repair shops and the hinges are not adjustable, but since one door closes and our other doesn't it is not a hinge problem, just a defective design.

We let this go too long and are out of warranty so I doubt Jennair is going to do anything. I hope someone post a solution but it is clearly not problem with the henges but with the receptacle they go into.

Oven door not closing properly

If it is a drop down door with hinges on the bootom of the oven door, then it is likely to be weak door hinge springs, the usual solution is to replace both hinges.
If it is a swing open door, then the problem is related to a worn or broken door catch, or worn striker pin.

Oven door hinges are not adjustable, assuming you have fitted the door back correctly, and it is still not closing properly, then the only solution is to replace the door hinges.

My Wolrd Pool Double Oven Door will not close all

same problem, I tried to adjust the level and tip the oven back, but that didn't work either.
Two options exist, change the hinges, or close the door with a hammer handle between the door and oven. Place the handle down low by hinge, then push the door closed very firmly to pull the hinge outward a bit.

5 year old Jenn Air double oven

the door switch contacts are stuck closed causing the oven to stay on.if you can access the door switch try to wd-40 on it.if that doesnt help you need a door switch.
