When your system was installed, you probably should have been paying attention or asking the installer some questions. Each system is different, but the recordings are controlled from mailbox 998, the message manager's mailbox. The newer Panasonic VM systems assign custom greetings sequentially and usually we put company greetings in the first 3 or 4 slots. They're fairly easy to find and administer if you have a password and some time.

How do i change the message on my answering machine

Hold the announcement key down. If the old message is there it will read it out loud to you. If you wish to change it, just hold the announcement key and speak over the old message. Make sure you keep holding the announcement key as you record your new message. When you have finished recording, release the key. If you wish to hear your message push the announcement key again. Do not hold it down this time. If you are not satisfied with the new message, repeat the method by holding down the announcement key again and recording your message. Your old message will disappear once you have recorded your new one.

How do I record or change a recorded message on the Panasonic KX-T7730?

A Panasonic 7730 phone operates on 18 different Panasonic Key Systems. There are 5 or so different ways to record a message...which one is yours?

The 7730 was first delivered with the TA-824 system. It has the ability for announcements via DISA, which was built in to the USA versions of the TA. It's recorded or changed via the master phone and PROGRAM 911.

A Panasonic TVA or TVS voice mail system does auto attendant functions. It can have both company greetings and custom service messages. Those are changed via mailbox 998, the message manager's box.

Last, the newer system also have "bulit-in" voice mail boxes. Those greetings are recorded by 722xx commands.

I need to change the message and do not remember how on my Lucent Tech. 1710 machine. How do I do it?

Hi you can try these steps: An answering machine is a device which will answer the phone on your behalf after a certain number of rings. It will play a recorded message for your callers before it is ready to record their message. You can use the manufacturer's preset automated message or you can change it by recording your own outgoing message.

  • Compose your message ahead of time. If not, you may end up stumbling, looking for the right words while you are recording your message or leaving out some important details. Composing your message before you begin recording will save you from having to record several messages before you find one with which you are satisfied.
  • Step 2Make it easy for your callers to listen your message. Record your message in a relatively quiet room without background noise. Speak loudly and clearly. For the benefit of callers who don't have much time, make your message as brief and to the point as possible.

If all you're looking to do is change Laura's message, walk over to her phone and dial 165 on the intercom. Log into the voice mail where she gets her messages and try different options, like maybe 5 2 or 5 1 to change the greeting?

It will play the existing greeting, let you press 1 to change it. As soon as you finish speaking, press 1 to stop recording and 2 to accept it and it's changed.
