The trimmer head is not held on by a nut, the whole trimmer head is spun onto a 10mm male output shaft, to remove the trimmer head lock the geabox by inserting a 6mm pin through the top of the gearbox, there is a hole to take it, this will lock the drive disc, you can then turn the whole trimmer head clock wise ( left hand thread ) and remove the trimmer head. Parts are available for the trimmer head, it depends on which head you have, manual feed, or bump feed.

The 128LD is a detachable shaft machine, there are a number of attachments, hedge trimmer, brush cutter, brush, blower etc, there is a alloy clamp at the bottom of the machines tube, just push the attachment tube into the clamp, there is a locating hole so as you know it is fully home, now screw the clamping screw fully down to lock in place
