check battery/fuse-and safety switches ------make sure the safety switch connections werent damaged or knocked loose while changing belts

the regular motor oil in 10 w 30 grade will do well

TIMING PROBLEM

is it getting spark ---is fuel going thru carb --air filter clean -- fuel filter good--have you check and tested safety switches seat/pto etc

I bet it hasn't been serviced since last use.

Check this diagram. It is most likely the deck switch. as this is a safety switch i would recommend replacing it instead of bypassing it.

Try the parts diagram, item 52 disconnect rod.
