If you lost windows password, you can go into safe mode (F8 when booting up) to recover windows password, but you forgot administrator password, that way doesn't work. you must use software to recover administrator password. This method is very easy. You can go to this site http://www.reset-windows-password.com/how-to-reset-windows-password.html

Lost windows passwords isn't a big problem. I realize a fairly easy method to recover lost windows login passwords, just need to create a bootable CD/DVD or Usb stick to reset lost windows password, I have made a bootable CD with the utility Windows Password Seeker and reset my admin password successfully. You can Search windows password seeker or visit their site: http://www.passwordseeker.com

Ip address dynamic

Dynamic and Static addressing are the two main methods used for IP address assignments. Dynamic IP addresses are automatically obtained and nothing needs to be done on the user end. However, Static IP address information must be configured manually. If you do not have a router, you need to input your static IP information directly into your Apple Macintosh.

Click "Apple > System Preferences." Click the "Network" icon. Click the "TCP/IP" tab. Choose "Manually" in the Configure drop-down menu. Click in "Show" and choose your Ethernet device. This is usually called Built-in Ethernet. Enter your IP address into the IP Address field. Enter the Subnet Mask into the Subnet Mask field. If your service provider did not provide you with one, use the default of "255.255.255.0". Enter the Gateway address into the Router field. Enter the DNS Server into the DNS Servers field. Two should have been provided to you. Push the "Apply Now" button to confirm changes.

If you look in the routing table for the router you should be able to fine the address that it signing to it.

On another note i would recommend that you log into the interface for the printer and set a static IP address that is outside your DHCP scope. Doing this will keep the same IP address assigned to the printer even after you unplug the ethernet cable. Note you may need to double check the manual to back sure it will store the info after AC power is removed. Most will but there is some out there that will not.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

Not showing the network ip address. Note i changed it from 192... to 172... and now trying to go back to the 192.168... network

Set the camera to "automatically obtain an IP-address".
Connect the camera, via an Ethernet network cable, to a router.
The router will supply a valid IP-address to the camera; much simpler than trying to "manually" set an IP-address, network-mask, and gateway IP-address.

I want to change usb to ethernet interface. When I try to do it is failing to communicate with the modem

Whenever you swap the Ethernet and USB connections, it will fail to work as the modem is still configured with your computers IP address on the port you are changing FROM. Since the computer has not used the Ethernet port after being changed from the USB port, the modem has no IP assigned.

The solution is simple and must be done ANY time ports are changed, either ones on the modem, or if you were to change Ethernet ports on you computer.

Swap your connections, then reset the modem by unplugging it's power cord on the back for at least 10 seconds, then plug in.

This forces the modem to reconfigure it's ports, and to re-issue the IP address to your computer on the new port.

Since the modem only configures a port when the computer is plugged into it as it starts up, the other one is left in an unusable state.

The same equally applies if you were to add a second computer using the second modem port. You would also need to reboot the modem. Note that using both ports on the modem, each of which gets a separate IP from the ISP, is usually disabled by your cable company as you normally have to pay extra for multiple IP addresses. Sometimes the ISP overlooks this and you can get away with a free second IP address as I did with this same modem... until they wised up! Now I can use either port, but not both together. Only one get's an IP address.

Change ip

Your IP address is assigned (leased) to you from your internet service provider. With that being said, you could possibly call them and ask to release your old IP address and have them assign a new one. If you happen to have a static IP address assigned from your ISP you can call them as well and ask to have your IP address changed too. It would be up to them to change it though.
