Go to hp.com. Click on 'software and driver downloads' (on the left of the screen). Next to 'for product:' type in Officejet 5600' and click the >> symbol. Then choose from the list that comes up. When in doubt, choose the first on the list, HP 5605 All-In-One. On the next screen select 'software and driver downloads' again. There you'll see where you can select Windows Vista. CLick on that and sleect, under "Driver", HP Full Feature Software and Drivers.

On the next screen, scroll down and select 'Install Now'.

When I try to print from an access data base to the laserjet color 3500 usb printer.
Tried diff. drivers, diff usb cable, it works for a while but after several test runs the error reapears.

SOURCE: can't install the software for HP officejet 7680

I've had this problem in the past. When my printer has been off and I turn it back on, it tells me to insert the software to re-install. It goes to 96%, then I just keep hitting "Cancel" and it eventually goes to "Finish" and the software is installed. It sounds crazy, but it works. Try it and let me know if it works for you.
