Check the lid switch. If not activated or broken the washer will fill with water but won't agitate or spin.

You may have broken teeth on the gears in the timer assembly. Do you have a habit of "whipping" the timer around? In other words, turning the timer fast.

There's an error code on the digital display

It doesn't work at all
It won't drain
It doesn't spin
It doesn't agitate
It's noisy
It leaks
It's off balance
There's no hot water
There's no cold water
It's slow to fill
There's no water at all
The clothes are wet after spinning
The cycle doesn't advance
There's no delicate or regular spin or agitate
It's overfilling
It's underfilling
The water temperature is incorrect

If the motor is running but no agitation or spin is happening, then most likely the coupling between motor and gearbox has gone- look for black sooty deposits under your washer as proof. There may also be one or more pieces of white plastic. This coupling usually goes if the washer is overloaded regularly.

does you washer have a delicate, or normal speed adjustment switch, if it does make sure its not between setting or it will sound like a machine gun......you may need to replace that switch

Thanks for your question You say it works on one cycle but not the other lets sat you start a regular wash ,the washer should fill ,wash for the minutes you have set, pump out the water #spin , Stop fills & rinse stop pump out water &spin If you try a delicate cycle and it does not do what it did on regular cycle . I think that you mean "Agitate" some of the time that you write "Spin" Yes?
If I understand you correctly, you have no agitation during the "wash" cycle, this is almost certainly a corroded agitator shaft seized up in the transmission.
