I am searching for a description (or diagram) relating to the dismantling of a canon pixma ip1000 to enable removal/clean/replacement of the waste ink pad. Any help or direction to somewhere with a diagram or written explanation of dismantling would be really appreciated. Teditor
Depress power button while plugging the canon pixma ip1000. When you depress the power button, the printer can be used even if the in waste absorber hasn't been replaced.

I need a diagram or description to dismantle a Canon Pixma iP1000 Printer in order to replace the waste ink absorber.
I have dismantled my Pixma iP1000 and was not looking properly when I removed the ink pad. The main cleaning unit is pretty easy to install, but there is another plastic lever that somehow assembles along with the main unit and uses 2 springs,
Has anyone got a pic of the assembled unit so I can copycat the assembly.
