SOURCE: Craftsman 25cc weedwacker (358.791030). Zama

need to adjust the high sscrew. i do mine in 1/4 turns. start machine, full throttle, adjust the h(high) til it clears up.i would start by turning 1/4 counterclock wise, just remember to keep track, in case it runs worse, the put it back to orig. then try the other way. but i suggest 1/4 turn at a time

example... think of a clock when turning screw. straight up and down, 12oc, 1/4 turn will be 3oc, another 1/4 will be 6oc, and so on. hope it helps!

Hi Shaun, the only thing I can suggest is you may have a tight valve clearance, sticking valve or broken valve spring. Regards Phil.

the high speed needle is set first ( one closest to the air filter) to obtain smooth high rpm running then the idle needle ( next to the engine ) is adjusted as you slowly slow down the rpm
final idle speed is achieved by adjusting the throttle screw and should be just slow enough that the centrifugal clutch is not engaged

Ryobi 725r carb adjustments

Zama Carb? Turn both low and high meter screws 2 full turns counterclockwise, and idle speed control to maximum. Prime unit and start motor. Run for about ten seconds and then turn idle jet (clockwise) for maximum rpm and then lower idle rpms - readjust idle meter as necessary along with idle screw. Then gun unit at high speed and turn high screw for maximum rpm. Go from idle to max and make sure there is a smooth transition. If not play a tad with the idle mixture screw till that is achieved.

Poulan chainsaw, I rebuilt the carb with all new everything. Now it will start with choke all the way out. Idles really high. If I push choke in, it dies instantly. The hi-lo and Idle is off I know for...

get it running on idle, adjust the idle down till it runs hairy, then adjust low speed mixture screw till you get it highest revs, then keep repeating that till you get it idling normal.rev saw up max revs, adjust high speed jet, in or out till you get max revs, then screw out one quater of a turn. That lets enough fuel thru to cool the sparkplug tip..If thats no good, redo the carbi.Check the tiny filter under the needlevalve hole.Check the needlevalve diaphragm height.recheck gaskets are right way round

Echo srm-210 powers up fine on a flat surface, but it cuts out after a few seconds in the upright (usable) position. I rebuilt the carb, cleaned muffler screen, good gas and fuel filter. tank lines seem...

Make sure you rebuilt the carb with a carb kit. Put a hose on each pipe coming out of the carb and blow and suck on them. One should seal completely and one should provide vacuum. If there is a leak, you need new check valves. If you rotate the trimmer and it runs poorly, you may have a pierced diaphragm.

If everything is new than something is out of adjustment. Try readjusting high RPM needle valve if it has one. Go to smalleng.com and look for tutorial or you tube has a lot of interesting tutorials on this kind of thing. Good Luck...

I have a TroyBilt trimmer Model TB25CS 2 cycle. I have replaced the carb mounting gaskets and rebuilt the Zama Carb. It idles fine, but when I give it full throttle it just dies. There is a white and...

first remove your muffler and check to see if screen is plugged in exhaust..this will cause it not to rev. Also if you rebuilt your carb you neglected to pull your jets out and flush them out, pull both caps off adj screws with small screwdriver and try to adj "H" turn counterclockwise 1/8to 1/4 turn and see if it improves any if so keep turning till rpms start to slow back down then slowly turn back clockwise just till on edge of rpms speeding back up ,also did you change your fuel filter? hope this helps you!

Echo SRM 210 Weedeater won't rev high enough anymore to cut good.

Check Your exhaust port.. not the muffler itself the actual port. More than likely carbon and Soot has built up clogging the port significantly. It commonly does this after a few to three years of use. Usually caused by to much two cycle oil added to the gas and just carbons debris building up from combustion.

Hope this helps because it sure helped me ????????????

1964 5 1/2 hp evinrude kills at high speed

You should have a High Speed carb adjust and a Low Speed carb adjust. If it's running fine while idling, adjust the high speed setting. If you have two nobs, its the lower one. May be set wrong. If you don't have two nobs, remove the carburator and check the jets to make sure they are completely clean or better yet, order yourself a carb rebuild kit to take care of all of this. I just rebuilt my 1971 evinrude 4hp and the carb kit made the world of difference.

Echo es-210 stop running

This is as simple as it gets. If the carb is 10 years old and has not

been rebuilt in the past 2 or 3 years it will need to be rebuilt or

replaced. The average life of the diaphragms is about 2 to 3 years,

If your carb has limiters which will only allow the adjustment

screws to turn about 1/2 turn, you will likely not get any relief from

adjusting the carb. You will have to take the unit to a local dealer

for help. Most likely you will need to replace or rebuild the carb.
