My hp 630 laptop was working well but today when i turn it on, it will start but will remain at Press The ESC Key for Startup Menu and will not continue. What should i do.

It seems your boot image has been corrupted. Pleas try following methods.
1. Go to BIOS settings by pressing F2 during boot. Insert portable OS flash drive in to USB slot. Then select boot from external storage. This will run your portable OS and take back up of your important data to other hard drive. Then reinstall OS image.

2. If you are using windows OS, go to startup system repair option during boot. That will restore your system.

Unable to install XP OS to MSI lap top

Insert your installer to the lap top then try to change the boot up priority by entering the bios. Try to press del key while your lap top boot. If these deosn't wok try F1 or F2 thesame process. If you have enter the BIOS, look for the boot priority which includes the First Boot, 2nd Boot and 3rd boot. Change the 1st boot to CDROM and the 2nd boot to hardisk. Then save the changes by pressing F10. your PC will reboot and it will direct you to the OS installation.

Hi, Due to false shut down, your windows has been corrupted. You need to install the new OS and format the PC. The new OS will fix the problem. And do remember always that never do a false shutdown.

Selecting booting device

Normally with the new laptops you have to press F2 to access your bios settings, you will definitely be able to select the boot device from there.

If F2 does not work startup your laptop and watch the screen, there must be an option that will tell you which key to press to enter bios.

If the screen comes and goes to fast for you, press the pause button on your keyboard so you can read it at your own time and do your actual selection.

Hope it helps.

Disk Boot Failure

Any system can be recovered, although it depends on what is wrong.. this error can mean no info on the hard disk, or damaged hd...more than likely whoever had the computer erased it for data's sake...I would've...get an os and load it.

DRIVE 0 not found

The first thing that you need to do is press F2 and go into the setup. The system may need to "discover" the drive so that it knows what is there.
There is usually a section for auto-detect on hardware and then it should find the drive listed. Then save the new settings (usually pressing F10 to save and exit) and then see if it boots up properly.
The computer will then boot up and should come up. Since this is a new drive, the system will not be able to start, since there is no operating system on the drive.
You will need your Windows CD handy so that you can re-install the OS and then go from there.

I need hlep!

If you have a windows cd handy. Go into your BIOS setting right at boot (f2 or del keys), it usually tells you what to press to get into setup. Change your first boot device to CDROM or similar. This options is either under a boot tab. or In a menu setup it is under "Advanced CMOS options"
After you get it to boot off cd wait for the screen to rest at a welcome screen. Press F2 to go into the recovery console.
The screen will be black and it will as you what operating system to log onto. I assum this is XP, if not change question specifyins OS. Otherwise, after it logs in, password is needed for administrator. Usually it is blank, or check your paperwork/online. After you have a command prompt, type chkdsk /r to repair any disk problems and try to reboot. If above doesnt work, boot of the cd again and instead continue at the welcome screen (enter) to repair windows. when it locates your oprating system, it will be displayed and you  can press R to repair it.
