The Projector will not find the computer input automatically even when I tell it to search. The computer does not find the projector when I try to add it as another display.

OK - I've fixed mine (so it looks) - loads of dust inside unit seemed to caused the problem - vacuuming vents (as the manual prescribes) just shifts all the dust inside around and obviously causes some disruption.. solution - remove 4 screws underneath and lift off top (carefully) remove side panel screws (where Av inputs are) again carefully. Now go around each vent at the front, side and underneath and give areal good blow in each a few times. Plumes of dust and rubbish fly out - keep going until it's all clear. Reassemble and fingers crossed. Mine then started up and didn't turn off - there's a horrible burning smell (dust settling near lamp I presume) which is now fading. Been working 30 mins now with no trouble!
Hope it works for you - will post another update if I have any further problems - no news is good news!

if there are no leds lit on the top, then probably the bimetal circuit breaker tripped. you have to take the top off to get to it. it's located on the front of the lamp housing. press the red button. if it still doesn't turn on, it's the power supply.

if the lamp hours are over the limit, you need to reset the lamp timer by holding down the enter, down, and menu buttons and press power. if that doesn't work and you're not getting any leds lit on the control panel, replace the power supply.

if it's under 1 year old, it's still under warranty, so send it in and get it fixed for free.
SOURCE: new bulb in now wont work - no power - wont turn on to reset lamp
first, make sure you have the correct lamp. the lamp for the xr-10x-l looks like the xr-10x, but the plugs are different (common mistake). make sure you have the AN-XR10L2/1, not the AN-XR10LP/1. to reset the lamp timer (with the projector plugged in but off), hold down the enter, down arrow, and menu buttons and press the power.
