My laptop won't turn on for two days (wifi light flashes on for three seconds but nothing else turns on, no hardrive or fan) and then starts again after two days and works for two more days just f

This happens each time I travel back to the Philippines where I live. It is more humid and the power is 220 volts here and I"m not sure if either one of these contribute to the problem. Every time I go back to the US for school, though, it works just fine as if nothing happens.

There must be a incompatability in the power supply when using the 220volts, the laptops will with stand a fair amount of humidity so long it is kept cool.

SOURCE: toshiba equium m40x won't power up

whats happening is that the cpu is overheating and shutting down the computer due to your fan not spinning, if you wish to test this remove the bottom panel and remove the fan and its cooling tubes should all be one part (quite easy 3 or 4 bolts) and blow on the cpu or put a pedistal fan facing it or any other form of cooling that wont damage it, and try to start it if it boots for a while it is the fan and you will need to replace it, i had this exact problem yesterday

Asus A52F-X3 not working

Hello,

It might be an overheating issue or the laptop has some dirt inside it so it cannot boot. It could also be a defective hard drive. The best thing that I could advice you is to bring that to a technician because that's a complicated issue (hardware related) and only a technician can fix that.

Dell E6400 won't boot up (most of the time)

Computer does not boot up
The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Won't turn on at all

your cpu or cpu fan is probably connected in a incorrect way. disconnect it, and connect it again.

if it didn't help, check the jumpers and that all the cables are connected correctly

Try turning off the laptop, unplugging it, pulling out the battery and holding power down for 30-60 seconds. After that's done, put the battery back in, plug it back in, and turn it on.

HP 620 laptop shut down and won't start

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Heard a pop , bulb blew out , replaced bulb , it worked for two days , now red light blinks three times pauses then three times and so on , tv won't turn off light won't turn off unless I unplug...

3 blinks indicates lamp door is not on or has not been reinstalled properly. This also could mean the lamp door switch has failed itself. Try removing the lamp door and putting back on, if that doesnt correct the problem then I recommend having the switch replaced.
