The cascadia has an integrated AM-FM-WX, XM?, and CB antenna system, that is also prone to poor grounding. The best solution is to install aftermarket antenna systems for all of the equipment... I am driving a 2013 Cascadia with quite poor FM, and non existant AM, and WX reception. The XM works. I am afraid to hook up my CB to this, as it is pushing too much power, and is a sideband unit. I would like to hang the engineer by his/her toenails from the nearest tree for comming up with this garbage...

did you find a solution? We have the Cascadias too and on about 1/2 the AM is all static.. Mechanic installed AM/FM antennas on the back of the cab and that didn't even help! Anybody??? i need my Phil and Coast to coast!!!

We replaced the junction device, and the system worked for about a day or two, then went back to poor reception... There is nothing wrong with the stereo unit, its in the asntenna system... I have no idea why it failed using an aftermarket antenna, unless there is a grounding issue...

Fm reception for weak stations poor. reception on car radio fine.

If there is no FM Antenna connection you can try to move the power cord to different positions and see if you get a better signal. If not then move the unit closer to a window or try various locations that might have better reception.

I CANT GET THE FM/AM BAND TO WORK

Connect a good FM antenna to the unit's antenna jack to make sure you get good radio reception. Power on the unit. Press the Tuner/Band button. Adjust volume and tune to a known station using the up or down arrow buttons..

I have a 1970's Sony AM Receiver ICR-9. Reception is poor and sounds almost like it is receiving on another band. It has been a great radio and would like to retain. Bill

Do you use an indoor antenna ? Nowadays, with all gear around, like micro-waves receptors, strong motors, satellites, etc., reception becomes quite poor, unless you use an external antenna, properly set to catch broadcast stations. FM reception particularly has its signal much improved in that way. Correct demodulation requires a good an somewhat large outdoor antenna. Hope I could help. Good Luck.

Following an "incident" with an overhead garage door, roof damage was repaired and the antenna replaced by a reputable body shop, but no reception on AM band and limited FM reception on my '03...

remove the antenna and check that it is connected properly. the body work could have resulted in a poor connection.especially the ground connection to the roof itslef.
