Phone keeps blinking and message on window says I have voicemail. I have tried to erase meaages but get a voice message that says no new messages.
Apparently you're subscribed to a voicemail system offered by your telephone company. Please contact them for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

I had the same problem but couldn't figure it out either ..... UNTIL, I changed the date and time (which was very old, actually Sept/2007) to the current date, year, time, am/pm, etc.
After I changed the date, time, year, etc. my phone went back to its normal default of 3 or 4 rings & then the answering message plays.
