there are 3 answers to this question on all PCs made. here they are, (age matters)
Generation 1: jumper and coin cell pulls Erase this PW.
Gen 2: EEPROM stored PW, (a new chip you will never erase or format with out lots of hard work
and tools you do NOT HAVE)
Gen3 TPM stored, for sure windows 8 up this is impossible to hack and only the OEM Acer can help.
if at all.. Most makers of PC now refuse.
your PC is worth $30 used and working
the motherboard, not PW locked is worth. $13 used
motherboard not locked on fleabay
so how hard do you want it to work for $13?

the bios admin pw blocks everything or just blocks BIOS entry only.

there are only hacks , and jumpers, and pulled coin cell tricks.
hacks can result in bricked PC for eternity.
Jumpers, you need to find them that takes total MOBO disassembly to find them and may be a total wasted effort.
list is battery tricks (pull coin call , big battery and ac pack and wait 1hour)trick.
there are 3 power sources here, we pull all 3.

and the makers of the PC , deleted those pages in there service manual by law now. so those are not gone 99%

why not call acer and ask.
before hacking and bricking your PC forever, ask the maker first.
next time write it down.
the newer the PC the hard this gets, some with TPM chips
are impossible to hack by design. (and not brick it)
first don't turn that on ever.
2nd , write it down if you must use it.
3rd, resetting it can be easy to impossible.
the newer the PC the more impossible it will be. (by DESIGN and LAWS new)
if you buy PCs, always ask them to state
the BIOS password is not set.
and bitlocker no installed and set.
windows PW is a puzzycat. by comparison.
