Scan for viruses and reset your internet explorer.

This is quite a long reply and may appear very technical - however, have a read through and see what you can do / answer
| |All of my wireless connections and signals are good and working fine.||I will assume by this you mean you have other devices using the wireless connection OK
There could be quite a lot of reasons you are not getting a connection to the wireless - some common issues
1) the wireless is switched off 2) Firewall may be blocking 3) Security code entered incorrectly or old profile 4) the DNS is not working 5)something else on the PC blocking
so quite a few things to check - so lets start in order
1) - Most laptops have a wireless switch - some a physical switch other use a combination of the FN key + one of the F key to toggle on/off - make sure this is on
2) The firewall my be blocking access - try to disable the firewall, sometimes this will allow access, but often programs like norton, mcafee etc, when the subscription runs out can cause issues and need to be uninstalled - often using the uninstaller tool available on thier websites - to test this you can do a test using a PING
try to see if you can access the internet using ping Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type CMD a black box will appear in there type the following ping google.com if you get 4 replies then you can access the internet and your firewall maybe blocking the access try disabling the firewall.
3) Loginto the router, this may seem difficult but its really straight forward - but you will need to know how to login - a manual will be available from the routers manufacturers website to explain how to login - then goto the wireless section and remove the wireless security - see if the machine will now connect
4) DNS issue - this is where you can ping the IP number BUT not the Name and will appear as though you have no connection. to test this you will need to ping a name and a number and see if you get a reply to the number but not the name
do the following
Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type CMD a black box will appear in there type the following ping google.com if you get no reply then type the following ping 209.191.93.53 if this replies then you have a DNS issue - to temporally fix this issue, you can use a public DNS set of IPs on your PC - goto this site http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ and use the google dns public address, there is a configuration link which tells you how to setup - if that now works - post back a comment and we can try and resolve the issue
5) try to boot the PC into safe mode with networking switch the PC on and as it starts tap the F8 key, now you should see a menu choose safe mode with networking if that works and allows you to connect to the wireless then there is something blocking access on the PC when it starts normally - post back a comment if that's the case and we can try doing a "clean boot" to try and identify the startup or process that is causing the issue
A very useful tool to use for wireless issues is this one , if you can copy onto the PC, http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php this will detect all the networks broadcasting - so you can now see if the adapter will detect your wireless network

Try using system restore to back the computer up a few days before you made the Wii connection. Start button > programs > accessories > system tools > system restore. Pick a date on the calender before you connected the Wii machine and see if that restores your router settings. If not, get back to us for more solutions.
