RCA Scenium HDTV (Model #: D52W135D)(Chasis # ATC221) WILL NOT TURN ON!! When plugged in after a while of being unplugged the front power light will flash green lights first once...then 9 more times. I can hear the static in the back but nothing will turn on. It really sucks becuase we were just watch yesterday, turned it off after a while of it being on(I don't know if that matters) then the next day in the morning I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't turn on... :Z PLEASE HELP!!
This tv have 2 problems than,the tv projection lamp life is over,that why the picture is dim,must be to replaced with a new picture lamp.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all the resistors are dead.Replaced all these parts to solved the convergence problems.
check and see if wires are not disconnected from the power supply to the dvd.if no then reconnect them,if yes connected then you check the capacitor C708 this cap tend to open.good luck.
have scenium d52w135d combo burnt power resistor in deflection board,do i need to replace the the whole board? or just the resistor,and where can i find this resistor?
There is a little loose sleeve at the transformer. It can be pulled out, but it is best to squeeze the sides through hole on each side of the terminal to remove the sleeve. The wire just comes out with a small pull afetr the sleeve is removed. Good luck.
I cannot think of anything easy that would cause the symtoms you are describing. Your power supply is working and the deflection bd is good because you have HV. The problem is signal related and all of this circuitry is on the SSB or small signal bd. The difficult thing is when replacing this bd. you must have RCA's chipper check to download all of the ssb eeprom settings so they can be uploaded to the new ssb. I'm affraid you will need a qualifier RCA service tech for this problem.
You can try unplugging it, then try powering it on unplugged (to discharge any energy stored in capacitors) and let it sit for a few minutes. All circuitry should reset after this. Plug it back in and if its still no different, it'll have to be repaired. Sorry!
