Be sure that the printer is connected to the computer then if you already install the driver of it try locate the software for the scanner then you can scan anything

Please explain are you trying to initiate the scan from the scanner/printer? Or are you using the windows scan in the programs list or are you using the printer software? Have you installed the driver for ur model of printer/scanner.

I have a scanner 5600/5650 UMAX , but it has been started problem since last one week and the scanning of document can not be possible give me solution
You can find the manual here, which will explain how to program the scanner. Now all you'll need to do is find out frequencies of interest in your area.
If you are just installing the scanner, follow the setup instructions that came with it, and make sure the software gets installed. If it is already installed, then there should be a program in the computer that can start the scanner and get the image of whatever is on the scanner. Look where the scanner programs are at(usually this is a folder on the start menu). Also, there may be a scan button on the scanner itself. Pushing this button will start a scan and send the image to the computer.(the scanner program should start)
