Hi neo nietzsch...
Sounds like your cooling fan is faulty...
You need to try and blow the dust out of it using compressed air, by blowing air into the exaust of the laptop and hopefully this will clear your fan of dust and make your laptop run cooler.
If that does not solve the problem then your going to have to take your laptop apart and replace the cooling fan as it is defective.

I have a freezer bosch log/xx model dc125e12raw5r600 tempretureis only -5 is this normal

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
The ideal temperature range for a freezer is -2/+2 degrees F. This temperature range can very depending how full the freezer is. If your freezer is jam packed -5 degrees is good. If it is half full, +2 degrees F. is a good setting.
Too high of a setting such as -20 degree F. will cause freezer burn (bone dry your food).
Your compressor will kick in and cycle until it reaches the temperature setting. You can save on your electrical bills based on your evaluation of the necessary temperature setting.

Acer aspire overheating fix

What model of acer apire ?
When a laptop gets hot physically hot, to the touch you know something isn\'t quite right. It\'s normal for a computer to get a bit warm as it runs, which is why computers have a built-in cooling fan in addition to a heatsink and cooling vents. Excessive heat, however, is almost always an indication that something is malfunctioning. This is no different with the Acer Aspire 5000.

What\'s Happened If you\'ve ever looked inside of a computer or seen an "exploded view" of a laptop, you will know that thousands of components work together to ensure your computer\'s best performance. The cooling fan is activated by temperature readings from the central processing unit, which heats up and cools down depending on what it is being used for. Sitting idle, the temperature of the CPU will be low and the fan won\'t come on. When the computer is performing a few tasks simultaneously, the CPU is taxed and the fan kicks in. When you hear the fan whirling excessively, the computer is overheating which can damage the CPU. Thermal compound is a sticky paste that is placed directly onto the CPU. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermal-Compound-Roundup-February-2012/1490 Allowing for a more direct heat transfer between the CPU and HEAT SINK and preventing air gaps from forming between the CPU and heat sink. b> Checking Temperatures You can download programs to monitor the core temperature of your CPU. Programs like Core Temp, Speed Fan or Motherboard Monitor use the hardware monitoring devices built into your Aspire notebook to track its core temperature. Different sources suggest that the Aspire 5000 can run at a different maximum temperatures. Users on Tech Support Forum say 50 to 60 degrees Celsius is normal even optimal and that above 75 degrees is a problem. Acer\'s technical manual for the Aspire talks about external temperatures for running the computer efficiently (between minus 20 and 30 degrees), but it says nothing of internal temperatures. A few different users reported overheating to the point of 90 degrees, at which point the computer freezes and shuts off. Warranty Fix Computer original equipment manufacturers like Acer sell every computer with a limited warranty. Overheating is usually covered by this warranty. If your computer is repeatedly reaching high temperatures, and you\'ve recorded the temperatures with software, contact Acer for a replacement or a repair. Out-of-Warranty Fix The simplest way to address an overheating problem is to let the computer breathe a little. Make sure that you use it on a flat, hard surface so that air can pass to the fan easily and without interruption. You can buy laptop cooling pads at most computer stores that are designed with this in mind. As a complex fix for an out-of-warranty system, you can follow a picture tutorial from MPS Computers to replace the sealant around the heatsink with a new glue called Arctic MX-2. This glue allows more heat to escape and brings the core temperatures down about 10 degrees. My daughters Acer 5536 overheats and turns itself off after a couple of hours of non stop use. Is it a fan issue or a common known problem and do you have a fix ? Thx

Remove the fan with heat sink - underneath is the CPU. Remove and re-apply the silicon compound between the CPU and heat sink. After time, the compound becomes dry and the heat absorption deteriorates. The purpose of it is to efficiently transfer the heat to the heat sink radiator to keep it cool - if the CPU reaches the maximum temperature threshold, it will shut down.

Acer z5610 suddenly turns OFF Temperature is normal, no overheat, new thermal grease System scanned for errors, viruses - nothing WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Are you sure the temperatures are ok? When I run DIVX Plus Converter on the Z5610 the CPU (intel Q8200) is running (naturally) at a high load. Speed Fan 4.42 shows rising temperatures going north of 90 degrees C. If only DIVX Converter runs the temperatures of the CPU cores is around 92 to 94 degrees C. But if I start browsing the internet the temperatures go close to 100 degrees C. When one of the cores reaches 100 degrees C Speed Fan shows MINUS temperatures on the cores (-10 to - 20 deg C). Speed Fan is just monitoring as it can not even detect the Fan.
When that happens the Fan stops completely!! And short after that the computer switches of (same as if you would pull the plug).
Obviously there is a bug in the BIOS or the Motherboard which leads to interpretion of temperatures above 100 degrees C as MINUS temperatures which leads to the stop of the fan.
I am sure that also happens whenever you use a CPU intensive program (like a game or any other video converter/rendering program). You might download a temerature monitoring program (i.e. Speed Fan - its free) and see for yourself. Also listen whether the fan stops working compltely (goes completely silent) when the PC overheats and short before it switches off. Let's see what ACER says to that.
I used to like ACER. But first Aspire 4310 tripping frequently because the VGA chip overheats and now that stupid fault ==> never ever ACER again. I will use the Z5610 for internet surfing and get a real all-in-one which you can use. That is a clear sign for me that ACER does not test their machines at all under full load - or knowingly sells faulty machines.

High limit kicks out fryer and pilot light can

Since you've mention the pilot light goes out at 400 degree F, then we are talking a gas Deep Fryer. The deepfryer usually use at 350 degree F for chips or else. Because the oil will start breaking down its quantity of frying very quickly over that temperature. Most people set at 350 degree F. Now we comes back to your problem, First you should have a deep fryer thermometer they espcially made for deep fryer, (You only mention 400 or better ) that make me think you're only guessing. Knowing the temperature is very important, most Hi limit is set at 420 degree F.
To me it seen the Hi Ltd control is working and that is why it cutting out the pilot when it reach its limit but we don't know what temperature that when the hi limit cutting out at.
When you have a thermometer, put it in the cold oil and turn the temperature to 100 degree F to see what the temperature control cutting out at. slowly increase your setting until it cutting out at 350 degree F . If you set at 250 degree F and the thermometer already reaching 350 degreen F then don't go any further , your temperature control is defective and need to be change a new one.
This is only the first step, you still have to check out the Hi ltd control to see how good its condition is,so far your information say it cutting out at 400 or better. But you've to be sure, because it is a safety control. Hope that will help you , God Bless.

Proper temp. range in freezer

Hi dgh1,
The freezer should stay within 5 degrees of 0 while in operation. While in defrost the freezer may reach as high as 20 to 25 degrees. If any higher temperatures are reached your food will spoil as they are defrosted and refroze everyday. If you find that the temperature is allowing your food to defrost you may want to replace your defrost thermostat. This device is located on top of the evaperator coil inside the back of the freezer. It is made to turn the heater off when a temperature of 55 degrees is reached. One other possible problem could be your defrost timer is taking to long to restart the cooling cycle after defrosting. I hope this will help you and please send any other questions you may have, I am happy to help. and dont forget to rate me.
