Describe your Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer Problem I get the error message that my black ink cartridge is empty. I replaced it with a new one and still had the error msg. I went through the process of cleaning the print heads. Same error msg. So I ordered and received a new black/yellow print head and installed it. I still have the same msg that the cartridge is empty. What else could be the problem?

Hi rainbow1785,

To correct this issue, please follow the steps below. With the new cartridge inserted, reset the unit to its factory setting.

1. Unplug the power cord from the HP All-in-One.
2. Wait for 20 seconds.
3. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord to the HP All-in-One.
4. Release the buttons after the HP All-in-One starts up.
5. The HP All-in-One will now be reset to factory defaults.

Hope it helps.

Printhead Problem:

Have you tried to replace the black/yellow printhead? This is not the same as the ink cartridges, but it is located in the compartment under and to the right of the scanner lid.

Empty ink error message

Hi, its sad to say but the printer sounds that needed to be send to the nearest service center in your area. You already reseat & replace the ink cartridge and issue still present. Please call your printer manufacturer so that they can give you more options aside from sending it to service center. Thank you so much,

Tirzo
