Have you gone to Yahoo and clicked on tools, internet options, and set the home page to "current"?

If not, do so. Then it should stay there.

When i go onto ie i get a home page of nation zoom how do i get rid of it?

You will need to change your homepage in your Internet Settings. I don't use IE anymore so thats as much as i can help. I do believe if you have Windows 7, you can use the search bar on the start menu and search Internet Settings.

What to do when website saids unsupported unless I have Internet Explorer 5+

My guess is that the website your are trying to visit is very outdated. In the past some websites built their sites to only work on certain web browsers. Since the message says IE5, the site is probably only compatible with IE5 and maybe IE7. You may try contacting the website owner as it will be tough to find those older versions of the browser. If you can provide more details about the website, I'd be happy to help further troubleshoot. Hope that helps!

IE8 unresponsive on facebook

Go to tools then "compatibility view". If you wish to add it to the list so that it always renders Facebook this way click compatibility view settings. Facebook is a progressive company and they have been phasing out support for older browsers. I assume you are on XP otherwise you would be up to IE9+. My suggestion would be to possibly move to Chrome, Firefox or Opera which do not have an operating system limitation.

Zoom auto resets

suppose you want to make it 150% ... follow below instructionsOpen Regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Zoom. In the right-hand pane is a listing for ZoomFactor. Double-click on it and click the button next to Decimal. Change the value from 100000 to 150000, click OK, and exit Regedit. Now every time you open IE, it should be zoomed into 150%. This will also zoom any new tabs that are opened.
