A Blinking Amber or Yellow power button means that the power supply is receiving power from the source but is unable to properly distribute it to the components. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Just to make sure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.

could also be a ram stick that ate it. Also some of the older mother boards dont have a 12 volt supply that new cpu chips need might check that as well. Make sure the power supply is turning as well as cpu

check your keyboard,maybe you have a sticky key and if the keyboard is okay,try changing the memory card.

IF THAT'S ALL,NO FANS ELECTRIC LIGHT ON THE MOTHERBOARD.YOUR PSU ARE BROOKEN.

Sounds like the power supply is not completely stopping the power after shutdown, Replace the PSU and it should fix the problem. If your problem is still existent then it may very well be the power switch itself. Replace if possible. I Hope this helps.

If the hard drive was replaced or reformatted, the factory restore was erased. If so the only way is to load OS from CD .
