Deskjet j3860 cartdige error

Turn off the printer and remove the cartridges. Then clean the circuits of the cartridge and carriage using a cotton swab with alcohol (isopropyl alcohol preferably). Put the cartridges back, turn the printer on and test it.If the error continues, any cartridge may be damaged. Replace the cartridges by others who are working. If it is determined that the problem was not the cartridges, it is almost certain that the carriage is damaged. You will need to replace the carriage. You can try washing it with isopropyl alcohol and a brush but it is unlikely that it will help. But it costs nothing to try.

My hp officejet j3680 doesn't

Some laptops cannot run some printers/copiers/scanners from the usb ports. If you have always run your officejet from your laptop with everything functioning correctly, there may be a problem with your printer hardware. If you have just tried it with your laptop, it may mean that your laptop cannot power your printer. It might help to plug your laptop into an AC outlet and make sure you have the most current, correct drivers for your printer. You can go to the HP website to download drivers. Will your printer make copies? If not, there may be a problem with the light in your printer which is used for copying and scanning.

You can determine if your problem is with the printer or the laptop by connecting the printer to a desktop by usb or printer port to see if all of its functions work correctly. If they do, you can print from the laptop through a home network.

How do i set time and date

1. First, download and save a copy of the manual:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01181836.pdf

2. Open the manual and either search it using "date and time" as the search terms or go directly to page 70 under "Administer the device."

In the table under Use this tool . . ., then Control panel, Set the date and time is one of the options (last item) in the list.

Save the manual on your computer, so you can search it when you have future questions. You'll be glad you did.
