I think you must be just unlucky. I think the reset button just resets the wireless internet but I am not certain about that. Usually when a router loses it's memory it needs a call to the internet service provider who will get inside it and reset the addresses and check the connections and so forth. This is usually necessary even if you own your own router rather than having one provided by the ISP. Diagnostics says the router isn't connected to the internet so maybe that is the truth and the problem - coincidences do happen and maybe there is a fault somewhere on the line and it needs reporting to ISP so they can check it or get it checked. It could be worth double-checking the connections and leads first. I recently had trouble with a phone that worked only when it felt like it. The trouble was a couple if pins in the master socket had gone green and was failing to make contact with the phone plug some of the time.

How to set up my router

Turn over router and check in the bottom default access IP address and then type that IP address in to your browser. Then it shall ask you for ID and password. Enter `Admin` or `admin` as ID and `Password` or `password` as password. You will see a web based setup opened in front of you. Go to the Wireless Lan settings and then you will SSID so change the SSID and this would be your network`s name. Then go to subsection security and select WPA2-PSK or simple WPA-PSK then enter your desired network key. Once done with all these things the click apply and reboot if prompted.

I am connected to the internet but my computor is

Hello snaford1953,
With any luck this will be a simple fix for you. First off make sure that the cables are connected correctly, make sure that the cable from your modem is going to the "Ethernet port(may be labeled "Wan")". From there connect a similar cable from a numbered port on the router, to the pc itself. Even if you are attempting to connect through a wireless connection. If you still cannot connect while wired, power cycle both the router, and the modem(unplug each, wait 20 seconds plug both back in). Sometimes just restarting the hardware, can fix an issue.. especially with modems.
If you are attempting a wireless connection log into your router by opening up internet explorer typing 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. At this time you should be prompted for a user name and password. With out the model of the router i unfortunately cannot be specific, that said they are generally one of the following. Administrator, admin, or (just leave blank) for username(most should be admin) password can be (blank), 1234, or admin.
From there you will be able to turn on the Wireless broadcast. Eventually you will need to setup security such as "wep", or "wpa". However its always a good idea to try and get it working with out security first, can be much less of a hassle doing wireless connections in steps. The router will have explanations available, and most likely a setup wizard to help with the process.
Hopefully i was able to answer your question, good luck.

How to program to my

HEllo bro...

I don't know what model that use, however here the best explanation for you..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preparation:
1. Username and password for router.
2.Username and password for provider internet.
3.Ethernet cable (rj45 connection)
5. Pc /laptop to setup router ( on step i'm referred to pc)
4. Web browser( more preferred to using internet explorer current version)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step:
1. Plug Ethernet cable to router
2. Plug another end Ethernet cable to pcthat you are using to setup
(Now you have cable was connected between pc and router)
3.Switch on the router.
4.Open web browser. Or click here http://192.168.1.1
5.Some window will popup
6.Enter the username and password for router. If default( mean you don't change username or password, you can leave blank for username and fill password with "admin")
If still can't enter try search at google with your model and brand for username and password default.
7.After success enter, then using the wizard .
8. Fill the username and password for provider.
9.FInish.
-----------------------------------
For step 7th, to 9th, you can directly go setup internet connection( depend to model, sometimes it just type setup) where you will find ppp username and ppp password.. change it..
Good luck and be careful. sometimes you make it right but router need time to create new connection..
For the best go here Lynksis setup

Of a sudden, my wireless TV won't stream netflix

Yes, but you may be having a problem with your internet provider, not your modem.

1) Yes, you can do a soft reset of your cable modem, just pull the power plug, and then plug in. Suggesting you leave the power cord out for 30 seconds. This will do a soft reset of your cable modem, and will not hurt any settings. No worries.

2) You can do a "hard reset" but this is a bit dangerous. If you have any "custom" settings in your router, passwords, or configuration, it will be lost. If you do need (want) to do this, you will first want to go into the cable modem, and "save" your current configuration. At least make "note" of what the configuration is on a piece of paper, for each tab. Also, if you do this, your cable modem will go to its default settings and password. So, suggesting taht you DO NOT do a hard reset without prep. To do a hard reset, on the back of the cable modem is a red button, push and hold for 30 seconds. (Again suggesting, you do not do this without prep.)

That will let you do a reset....

However, I'm thinking that your buffering may be the result of an issue on your computer or your ISP. Tell us more about your configuration. dw
