Error message E4

All sewing machines are 'picky' about being threaded correctly. As you seem to understand. There is no shame in asking the seller for help.

For Singer Futura CE 250. New laptop with windows 7?

Update with WIndow 7 support is already available at:
http://www.futura-support.com/downloads/ce150.html

If you applied wrong patches you will have to uninstall Futura, reboot, install from the beginning the basic version and then apply an update 3.0.0.9

Software wont open for Singer Futura XL400

Before any Singer Futura embroidery software will open, your machine must be on and connected by USB cable to the PC. It serves as a dongle. Many high-end programs require that a USB plug called a dongle be inserted before their program will open; connecting the PC serves as a substitute for that.

I am trying to install

Go to http://www.futura-support.com/downloads/ce150.html. There is a link on the page for an update to download and ALSO a link for very explicit instructions. They're a little complex, but if you follow them carefully, step by step, you should be fine. Just be sure to read them through FIRST.

If you need any help following them, let me know. I'll be happy to help you in any way I can.

Also, be sure that you UNINSTALL any Futura software and updates you've had on your computer BEFORE you start to reinstall anything.

Leave me any comments back if you need ANY help, including if it's something like the uninstall. I don't know how familiar or unfamiliar you are with PC's, so please don't feel you can't ask. I've helped a number of people get the updates running, and I will be only too happy to do the same for you. I know Singer's support sucks!

My computer will not

First, there's a Windows 7 update available atwww.Futura-support.com. Click on the lefthand side, then on CE100/150/250/350,etc, etc. Follow the directions CAREFULLY. First, be sure the uninstall ALLFutura software you've attempted to install and reboot your PC.

If for some reason this doesn't solve you're problem, I've posted a set ofinstructions athttp://www.fixya.com/support/r8955271-use_machine_windows_7_or_vista that willallow you to run the software under XP on your Windows 7 machine. This is a bitmore complicated a solution, but if you follow the instructions carefully, youshould be fine. Try the Futura update first, though.

I hope this solves you're problem. Happy embroidery!

I need the driver software for my singer sewing

Unfortunately, the only place I found after searching andsearching months ago was to go back to Singer itself and pay for a new CD. Thecost was $100 as of January, 2011. It doesn't do any good to copy someone's CDor for someone to get it to the internet for you to download, because when yougo to install the software the program asks for you to put the CD in the drive, and the program knows to look for an original CD.

I have recently bought a new computer and i

Yes, it can be installed on Windows 7. Check the Futura support sight at www.Futura-support.com and look on the right hand side under downloads. There's a download listed for CE150/250/350, etc, that applies to XP 32 & 64 bit, Vista and Windows 7 32 & 64 bit. Follow the directions CAREFULLY! If this doesn't work for you, I've posted a set of instructions under CE100 solutions for running the CE100 software on Windows Vista/7 by installing a Virtual Machine software on Windows 7 that works regardless of the situation.

The update should work for you perfectly, however. Just make sure you uninstall the Futura software and reboot your machine BEFORE you do anything else and follow the instructions from the website carefully! Good luck!

My bobbin thread keeps coming to the top of my

With the embroidering, some of the bobbin thread is SUPPOSED to show on the top of your embroidery-the machine isn't doing anything incorrectly. You'll need to thread your bobbin with the same thread as you are using with the top. I had the same "problem" when I first got the machine and took it to a wonderful local technician whose helped me with a lot of things who informed me that this is perfectly normal on embroidery machines.

E1 keeps coming up on

Well, first check to make sure that your machine is on a level surface and is completely balanced. Now totally unthread, insert a new needle, now with the presser foot up, rethread according to your manual, pull the top thread-it should move smoothly. Now put the presser foot down, it should barely move. This should seat your thread in the tension discs properly. If, this does not work, call Singer at 1-800-4singer and find out what the story is.

I am trying the Futura CE350 embroidery for the

Turn the software on your cpu, turn on Futura, the hoop handle will move automatically, then attach the hoop, send the design to the machine, lower the foot handle, press start. Important, avoid jamming the bobbin by using cotton thread on the bobbin. And you should have received a software tutorial to read before using the machine. I have a Futura CE250, the tutorial is easy and fun.

What part(s) would I need to embroider baseball

Hi,
It depends where do you want the embroidery to be.
If is on the front part of the cap there are two ways:
One is with sticky stabilize rmaking sure all the parts of the cap are laying flat on the sticky paper.
The second way is with a special cap attachment (sells for around 440) that comes also for the singer futura.

I have a Singer Futura CE350 and I am trying to

Make sure your machine is properly threaded. Use both hands when you thread it. First test your machine sewing regularly, if is fine it could be the tension. It has the tension preset but sometimes it requires for it to be loose or tighter. Also make sure your needles are properly installed. the flat part suppose to be facing away from you.
Are you filling your bobbins in embroidery mode? It helps a lot! Look for the steps online.

Can't work lever to raise foot on Singer sewing machine

Presser Foot Release Lever: First, check if the presser foot release lever is functioning properly. Sometimes, it may be stuck or not engaging correctly. Make sure it moves freely and isn't obstructed. If it's not working, try slackening the presser foot tension using the dial on top of the machine. If that doesn't help, you might need to adjust the presser bar slightly. Presser Bar Adjustment: If the presser bar was loose to begin with, completely slacken off the pressure. Put the presser foot up using the lever, then slacken off the screw on the bar and adjust the presser bar as needed. Handwheel Stuck: If the handwheel is stuck, it could be due to issues with gears, cams, or other internal mechanisms. Inspect the machine's casing or access panel for any signs of damage, such as broken teeth on gears or misaligned cams. Thread Take-Up Lever: If the take-up lever isn't moving up and down even when you manually turn the handwheel, check the hand clutch. Tighten and adjust the inner portion of the wheel on the right side of your machine and the hand clutch. If these don't do the job, you might consult Singer's customer service or a repair shot.
