window ac unit,,,,,,,not much to do with them turn it on if it cools ure good if it dont check the filter,,,,,,,,,unfurtunately with the labor costs and prices of freon the window units pretty much a not worth the service fee item just dispose of it and buy a new one when it craps out as for disposal a sighn on it at the end of the driveway saying free scrap metal will usually get the attention of some junk removel scrap guy xxxejxxx

Check to see if it needs some type of coolant that my need to be added based on the model. Also it is possible that the ac condenser may be broken. you might be best off just buying a new ac depending on costs etc.

Hello, the drain line will be located under the unit near the condenser coil. Sometimes it can get blocked and the condensate will settle toward the front of the unit and leak from the unit. Also, make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about a 1/4 inch aswell.

Hi, it sounds to me like your reversing valve is not switching the flow of freon over to heat, stuck in cooling. The valve is located near the compressor, it has a 24 volt coil on it. If you unplug it, it should switch the valve into heat. If not, the valve is probably froze stuck, and will need to be replaced. Something a service tech would have to do.Shastalaker7

Hi, if its blinking 3 fast and 2 slow and saying the error is the pressure switch, kill the power. Pull the hose loose from the inducer motor to the switch and blow back and forth. You can hear the single pole contact click open and close. Put it back together and try it again. If it continues, check for any leaks in the air lines first, and if not, replace the switch. You would be better off to order one over the Internet.For a temp. fix only, if the switch contacts are welded shut or open, you can bypass this safety by taking a piece of electrical wire with clips on each end, and jump across the 2 wires. I believe this is the furnace with a spark to light the pilot light. If so the best advice I can give is to replace the whole pilot assembly. There is a very old style flame sensor in there that is not serviceable. This has driven many a technician around the bend.**NOTE: It is a real pain to get out, and back in. You need to take off the fire box cover and the panel underneath it to get it out. You also need to take the pilot tube off the gas valve. This may be something that you want to call a service tech for. It could be a little tricky and because you are dealing with gas, you want to make sure that it is put together correctly and safely.
