Have code 13 right now
Yes, by turning it off this resets the unit. Just turn it back on and if there are no other problems, it will run.

Hi there,
I have a carrier
It may be tripping the high temperature limit sensor. Check the flashing light error code to see whether it may be related to the limit switch. If so, have a technician use a thermocouple to measure the air temperature rise from the air intake to the air outlet of the furnace. Compare that the rated temperature rise of the furnace. If it's too high, You may have inadequate air flow. That could be due to an air filter that is too dirty or restrictive, or too many vents closed in the house, or inadequate ducting. It also could be that the blower is set to run at too low a speed. In my house this was the case. We had to rewire the connection to the blower to bump it up to high speed. This brought the temperature rise down to about the middle of the rated range, and now the furnace stops shutting off prematurely.

Hi:
You need to disconnect your AC from the power source first and connect it again and see if the problem is solved or not.
As a second step to solve the problem you should try to reset your AC and see if problem is solved or not.
Other you need to call a Carrier agent in your area.
I wish that will solve your problem.

Carrier 8000. call for heat but inducer motor
Where I live you had to be a franchised carrier dealer to sell carrier units. I did not have a large enough business to qualify so I'm not an expert on their units. However one of my best friends is a service tech for carrier and honeywell and I called him and he told me they had some bad control boardson that series. Unfortunatley there is no repair other than replacing the board. Sorry I'm not more help but this was all I could find. Thank you
I am getting a code 31 on my Carrier 58RAV095 -
I am having the same problem and what I notice is the IDM does not start (little motor that performs the prepurge) and that is why the pressure switch never closes to ignite the switch. I am looking for the diagnostic codes but am having trouble with it. I am getting 3 short blinks with 1 long LED.

CARRIER INFINITY WEATHERMAKER WHERE IS
Carrier Infinity systems, do not have a manual reset switch. It will have an automatic reset depending on the failure.
I would first, turn off the breaker to the indoor and outdoor units. Wait about 5 mins and turn the breakers back on. Doing this will reset the Control Board in the system. The system itself, is probably locked out.
This should get the system to come back on, However, you may have the problem come back and lock out the system again.
If this happens again, i would advise calling a Carrier dealer with Infinity systems to test it.
Hope this helps

I have a carrier furnace
I would remove both burner and blower compartment covers and reach into the blower housing and grip the center section of blower where it mounts to motor shaft. Try sliding the squirrel cage back and forth horzontally. If it slids much more than 1/8 inch then the motor bearing are probably just getting worn and allowing the motor tomake some extra noise when motor starts. If it has oil ports I would remove plugs and use 3-4 drops of machine oil and clean blower with brush and shop vac.
Other then that I don't think I'd worry much about it yet. Thank you and hope that helps.
I have a Carrier Weathermaker 8000 VS furnace that
If you can get to the shaft of the motor, oil it using electric motor oil. If the motor spins freely, you just may need to replace the start capacitor, however if it is binding; you will need to replace the inducer as an assembly.
