Hello! Help the fridge side is not cooling (

Hi patsilke,

This complaint is usually the result of a defrost problem. The first thing to check in this case is the freezer area. Look at the back panel inside the freezer. If you notice frost covering the back panel, you have defrost problem. What happens when you have a malfunction in the defrost system is the air cannot circulate from the freezer to the fresh food section. Also, excess frost builds up within the coils inside the freezer. This is what is blocking the air flow to the fresh food section.

Hope it helps.

Whirlpool fridge compressor will not

call your parts store, give them the model number, open the fridge door on the right hand wall up near the ceiling you'll see a tag with the model number, tell them you need a start device and they will sell you one.do you hear a clicking sound or smell anything, when my device went i could smell it.unplug the fridge, remove the bottom panel in the rear and on the compressor you'll see a clip, pop it off, slide the start device off, shake it,if you hear pieces rattling around inside it,it's bad, leave the wires on until you get the new part.next time send the model number,a bad timer, board or cold control could also cause this.if the machine gets stuck in defrost the compressor won't run.if you open the freezer door and the fan is blowing,it's not in defrost and most likely it will be the start device.hope this helps.

How to change the light

Hi

Not all bulbs will fit your refrigerator. Be sure to replace the bulb with one of the same size, shape and wattage. On some models, the dispenser light requires a heavy duty 10-watt bulb. All other lights require a 40-watt bulb.

1. Unplug or disconnect power from your refrigerator.

2. Remove light shield when applicable. NOTE: To clean the ligt shield, wash it with warm water and liquid detergent. Be sure to dry the shield thoroughly before installing.

3. Remove the light bulb and replace it with the same size, shape and wattage.

4. Replace light shield when applicable.

Not making Ice. Appears no

The water valve has two coils one for chilled water at the door and the other for the ice maker. Sounds as if the ice maker coil is bad. Hope this helps you to find the problem.

Edges inside doors got hot, now freezer stopped

Hi my name is Sean, what you will want to do is pull the refrigerator out, take off the back panel at the bottom and look for a fan by the coils, check to see if this fan is running, also check the coils to see if they are dirty. If the fan is running, is it running fast enough to move air? And if it is and the coils are really dirty, clean the coils and you should be back to normal, If the fan is not running check to see if there is debris in it, if there is nothing blocking it you probably have a bad fan. This is the condenser fan that cools the condenser and also the compressor, and it will cause your center mullion to get hot.

Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote on moving refrigerators...if you did not do it thisway then you may well have ruined a perfectly good refrigerator.

Moving a Refrigerator What is thebest way

If you already have moved it wrong, you can sometimes get it working byplugging it in and unplugging it a number of times with an hour or so inbetween.

The water pressure for drinks

check the valve where the water line is connected to the house water supply,if it's one of those self tapper valves it could be the valve is bad or the hole has to be opened up one size more.shut down the house water supply then go to the back of the fridge, disconnect the water feed line, stick it in a bucket and have someone turn the water back on,if it's coming out slowly there then you know it's that valve, shut the water off again, remove the tapper valve and drill out the hole one size bigger and see if that helps,if it doesn't change the valve.if the water is coming out with force then you most likely have a bad water valve on the back of the fridge, sediment gets in them and plugs them up and the valve should be changed out.

How does Auto defrost work and how long does it

Hello there
A Look at the Defrosting System:
Modern refrigeration systems, whether industrial or household, feature a defrost system. A refrigeration system works by developing temperature below the water's freezing point. Long hours of continuous operation may lead to development of a layer of frost or ice around the freezer or the evaporator coil. This hinders the cooling capacity of the evaporator, making it difficult for the cooling effect to pass into the freezer. Without refrigerator defrosting, the layer of frost or ice leads to loss of cooling and lessening of performance coefficient of the refrigerator and higher electricity costs. There are various defrosting methods that your fridge can employ. Take a look at some of these defrosting methods.
Thermostat Defrosting:
Thermostat is a basic component in all modern refrigerators. The device allows you to set the freezer temperature that you want, depending on your requirement. Most often, a refrigerator with thermostat comes with a small plastic tray which can be found below the freezer compartment. This tray is where the excess water from your freezer goes to. The thermostat works by stopping the supply of power that is received by your compressor whenever the temperature that you have set has been reached.
The refrigeration unit stops producing the cooling effect whenever the thermostat stops, which happen several times a day. And during this stage, the frost or ice collected on the freezer starts to melt, with the resulting water collected in the tray. A small tube connects the tray to a small outlet usually located at the bottom back side of your refrigerator. A pan is installed there where the tube brings the water resulting from melted ice after defrosting.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator model ed25dqxwn00

I thought I just answered this but will do it again.

It sounds as if the water supply valve is going bad. You can only check the coil on it not the mechanical aspect of the valve. It sounds as if the valve is not closing all the way causing a trickle effect into the ice maker but a slooow trickle so it now will freeze inside of the tube. Much like in the winter time when your gutters will thaw then freeze at night causing icicles.

Change out your water supply valve.

Here is a ice maker procedure but it may not help much in this instance but will show you the tube freezing. Anyway it will at least show you how the whole system works and how to troubleshoo it.

Refrigerator is not cooling i bought it 2year ago

This could be caused by a few things. I would recommend that you make sure that the condensor on the back of the unit is free of dust, make sure that your temperature control is set properly. If those things are in order, then you may be looking at either the temperature control being faulty.
