Logitech Harmony 670 Advanced Universal Remote with LCD Screen - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Press on it with both thumbs in the depressed area and push down and toward the end.  There is a small latch behind the depressed area.  By pushing down as well as toward the end of the unit you should be able to get the latch to release and the cover will slide toward the end.

Sometimes it isn't the remote, it is the cable or satellite set up menu. Try Menu/Setup/Closed Captions and see what happens.

To buy a new remote control, you should know the number of digits in the code. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have. Harmony 670 works by remembering what the last action was and what action should it take based on your programming. So, take a look at your Remote's "...Activity Sequences...". You may have set the AV Receiver to turn Off-On by mistake... If so, simply choose it to stay on in the Harmony's sequence... I hope this helps...If not let us know...Thnx

Possible that the pad on the remote control unit has gone weak or damaged. It will be best to remove and clean or even use a repair kit to set up the carbon pads.check for tips on this link.Remote controllers

Do a firmware update again in safemode. Press and hold the "off" button, and then plug it into the computer, and continue with the firmware update. If this doesn't work, I'd call technical support.

Your Harmony remote does not use codes. In order to program the remote, you must download the Harmony software, which you can download at http://logitech.com/myharmony. Once you have the software installed, you will be prompted to create an account and complete the setup.

Hi. I am not sure if the Harmony 670 has sequences, but I think it does!

1. In the 'Customize Buttons' page, click 'Add Sequence'.
2. Name yout sequcence someting (i.e. FOX)
3, Add the number commands you need
4. Click 'Save'
5. In the 'Additional Buttons' tab, type the name of the button (FOX)
6. Select 'Sequence' from the device drop down menu
7. Select 'FOX' from the command drop down menu
8. Update the remote.

Logitech does not sell replacement LCD screens for Harmony remotes.

I would suggest buying a broken remote from eBay or somewhere cheap. However, keep in mind that attempting to repair your remote will void the warranty.

Hi, try updating the firmware.

1. Connect the remote, and click "Downloads" in the software.
2. Click "Firmware"
4. Update the remote.

If that doesnt help then it's probably a hardware issue.

Hi. Here is how to get your remote out of safe mode.

1. Connect your remote to the computer.
2. Launch the Harmony Remote Software, and log in.
3. Click "Downloads" at the top and click "Firmware"
4. The remote will go through the firmware update.
5. Select "Yes", and click NEXT to update the remote.

try open it up.clean the board with alcohol and soft cloth.make sure its dry before reassembling it.check the rubber for cracks and clean it as well.

No remote code for universal exists, you must use the logitech remote

Observe these instructions to connect your wireless Logitech PS2 controller to the receiver :-

1. Verify that the PlayStation 2 console is connected to the receiver.
2. Switch on the PlayStation 2.
3. Replace the controller's batteries.
4. For roughly 2 seconds, press and hold the receiver's sync button.
