My volume won't increase on my LCD tv. What can I

I can help you reprogram your Logitech Harmony 520 remote for your LCD TV.

The Logitech Harmony 520 remote control is programmed through the Harmony Setup Software you can download from here.

Once installed, you will simply run the software, and select the devices you would like to control from menus. The software finds the right codes for you and loads them into your remote control.

I hope that helps.

Logitech Harmony universal remote stuck in safe mode

Just a message to all that have problems with there Logitec remotes. My remote went into something called a "safe mode" when my partner changed the batteries while holding the power button.... I pressed every single button to try and get out of it but nothing seemed to work, (I was getting pretty frusterated, there is nothing in the manual to tell you how to fix this problem), however, I have now learnt that as you replace the batteries you need to have the number 2 button held in as you replace the last battery. This works 100% so if you have any trouble with the "safe mode" then this is what fixes it.

Carly.

How to open Harmony 520 remote for cleaning?

Here's how. Logitech doesn't cooperate on these issues. Not sure why they're so secretive, but here's the skinny.

Take the four screws out from under the batteries. On each side of the remote there are four spots (or buttons) where you have to insert a *very thin* screwdriver or blade of some type and push to separate the cases. The first set of buttons are located on either side of the "Glow" button. The next ones are on either side of the <- and -> buttons. The next set is on either side of the "Stop" and "Play" buttons. The last is on either side of the "Activities" button. Just insert a flat edge and press as you gently pry the casing apart with your fingers. Take your time and don't force it to open. Hope this helps.

I need to know how

If you have the USB cable that came with your remote, connect your remote to your computer using the cable.
Go to www.logitech.com/myharmony and identify your particular remote (i.e. Harmony 520).
The site will download setup software into your remote and then ask you to set up your account.
Beyond that point, the site will provide you with a clear, step-by-step process which will ask you to identify the activities you'd like to set up (watching tv, a movie, etc.). Be sure you have the brand names and model numbers of the devices you'd like to link to your remote.
Programming is done automatically without your having to look up codes, etc.
When everything is done, click the "sync" button or whatever command button completes the programming for the Harmony 520 (I say "sync" because that's the closing command for the Harmony 600, which is the one I have. I would think the closing command is the same or similar for the 520).
After that, you're good to go.

Happy viewing.

I need to know how to program my logitech harmony

You should just be able to plug the remote into your computer with the USB cable supplied, go to the Harmony website listed with your product packaging, and Harmony will walk you through (very user friendly interface) a process which sets up your personal account, downloads the necessary setup software into your remote, and automatically programs your remote to whatever device you identify. With what you've said, all you need in addition to the Samsung brand name is the model number. The rest is done by Harmony including code installations.

I have the Harmony 600, linked to a tv and vcr and the setup/programming process was as uncomplicated as anything I've seen.
