Seems the battery in the remote is shot. Could even be a lose wire inside of it as well. May need to replace remote or dare ti take it apart and see if all wires are hooked up properly

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. you may need to select the device you wish to control first. if unsucessful, then try reloading codes into remote

I called Tech Support, and they walked me through a firmware upgrade, and an update. 
Step 1. Hold down "OFF" button, and remove the battery. Step 2. While holding "OFF" put battery back in. Remote will now enter "Safe Mode"
Step 3. Plug Remote into USB. Step 4. Go to Support -> Downloads -> Firmware from the app. It should update the firmware.
Run the update again, but this time, the only thing I did differently was plug in the remote on the screen whic said: "Done updating Extender, remote to be updated next" rather then the next one. The update went through this time.

battery could be bad but you can try cleaning contacts on battery and where battery contacts inside of remote also contacts on bottom of remote where it connects with cradle and on cradle as well. good way to clean is rub gently with pencil eraser.

Had the same thing:
Step 1 - remove the battery for about 60 minutes. There seems to be a little energy store in the unit and just taking out the battery, counting to 10, and reinstalling it does not work.

Step 2- Do a software update upgrade from the Logitech site. The new firmware level seems to have fixed the base problem.

If you just take the battery out and put it in, it does not work.
If you take the battery out and just hook it up to do a software upgrade, it does not work becuase the remote gets power from the USB commenction so it remains "hung"

The most disturbing thing about the whole event for me was the number of people that had the problem occur about 12 months and 1 day after purchase....ie when it was out of warranty!!!

I had this problem.....Mine was stuck on the charge icon and wouldn't change no matter what I did. Solution: Plug into the computer and run the software you got with it...It will re-set it and it should be good as new. not sure what causes it, but mine has been fine since and it was months ago that I fixed it.Good Luck,B

reset the code download from www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www.remotecodelist.comopen the remote control. clean the keypads switch, for dirty, oxide, bad contacts switch, or open use the VOM, see the block diagram, if these switch are NOT o.k they will not send infrared signal to the microcontroller from the receiver.If this doesnot resolve the problem go to the repair shop TV for fix it.God bless you

I have had that appear also. I have found I can fix a lot of problems by removing the battery wait a couple of minutes then re-install. Try that it worked for me.

That sounds like a cable box problem not a remote problem.
