unfortunately, your logitech harmony remote screen cannot be fixed here. But to get a possible solution, visit logitech harmony's customer support on the below link and they will let you know if the screen can be fixed or if the whole unit will be repaired. Also, they ship replacement remotes free of charge most of the time.

My guess is that if it was working fine before and now it's not, some interference may have occured so the remote isn't in sync with the devices (for example, someone walked between the remote and the TV so the step is out of sync. To fix the problem, use the help feature on your Harmony One.

On the remote, press the 1. Help button.
Answer the questions on the Harmony One's screen by selecting 2. Yes or No.
Based on your answers, the Harmony One re-sends the necessary commands to synchronize with your devices.
When you're done with this process, the Harmony One will be "in sync" with your devices.

If this doesn't work, I would reconnect your Harmony one to your PC and start from scratch programming it again.

you have not missed anything. Ordering a new battery is a very good idea.

If the battery is bad, it won't charge any longer. Therefore ordering a new battery is a very good step to take.

Hello. use the tv remote to open up the tc menu and find the audio area. Check through those items in audio and see if something accidentally got changed. Joe

Remotes take longer to respond when the batteries are low. This is a base station rechargeable remote but it still contains a rechargeable battery. The symptoms you describe suggest that the battery isn't rechargeing properly.

It not the remote.The tv have problems,with it power supply board,it have a problems,it not giving ur tv the right voltages anymore,that why it take a long time,the tv to turn on.The power supply board,that the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hi Vince. It sounds to me like the LCD screen on the remote is blank or not displaying correctly. Is that right?


Sometimes there can be a corruption in the firmware of the remote that causes this to happen. If this is the case, updating the firmware usually fixes it. So, I am going to suggest that you start with that. Please do the following:


1- Remove the battery from the Harmony remote, hold the 'Off' button and insert the battery back in. The screen should display 'Safe Mode', or the backlight might flash.

2- Make sure you have version 7.7.0 of the Harmony software installed on your computer. You can download it at http://logitech.com/myharmony.

3- Launch the software and log in to your account.

4- Click on 'Downloads' at the top of the screen.

5- Click 'Firmware' and wait while the firmware updates.

6- Update the remote.


After you have done this, please test the remote. If the remote is still not working, please let me know the following so that I can see if I can determine what's up.


1. Is there anything showing on the LCD screen?

2. Are any of the buttons on the remote having any effect on the devices?

3. Point the remote at a digital camera or cell phone cam, and press some buttons. Does the end of the remote light up, indicating that IR commands are being sent?

First I would check if the remote is momentarily sending out the volume command or is it sending it out continuously. You can use this trick with any IR remote. Using a digital camera with display, point the remote at the camera and press the volume button on the remote. If the IR led is working then you should see it glow on the cameras screen. When you release the volume up button, the IR led should stop glowing. If it does not stop then you may have a sticky key or a problem with the program. If it shuts off then the Harmony is functioning ok and there is a problem with your receiver. Another way to test this is to press the volume up button and then immediately cover the remote with a blanket or take it to another room or remove the batteries. Let me know if the remote is continuously sending out the Volume command or is it momentary.
