Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote with Color Touch Screen - Page 9 Questions & Answers
How do I set the time on Sony 46" TV with the Remote
The Harmony remote comes with most, if not all of the functions of your original TV remote built in to its hard and soft keys. Choose the "Devices" button to see a list of the devices controlled by your Harmony remote, then select the Television. Once you do that, your remote will show all the functions from your TV's remote.
Unfortunately, from there, you'll need to know how to change the time for your TV (I imagine there will be some sort of SETUP function on the TV). For that information, or anything else specific to a particular device, you need to reference the device's own user manual.
I hope this helps.
No instruction manual
Hello Kenton.
Sorry to hear you're having a problem with your new remote control. This remote must be programmed using the internet. It should have come with a CD and a USB cable. You need to install the software from the CD, and then after installing the software, you need to connect the remote control to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
When you plug in your remote using the USB cable, the Logitech Harmony Software should automatically turn itself on (just like other software automatically turns on when you insert a music disc into your computer). NOTE: the remote cannot be in the cradle when doing this.
The first time you use the software, you need to create an account with Logitech. This, along with your remote control's internal serial number, will identify you as a user during subsequent visits to the website.
Once you register, you will be presented with a series of screens that will ask questions about what equipment you own (the brand of your TV, stereo system, etc.) and how all your components are connected to each other. After answering these questions, the Harmony One remote will be programmed for you.
The Logitech website is well designed, and offers lots of help and tips (on the right side of your screen). If you have trouble, you can usually find help there, or on this forum. If the remote was purchased new, you can also get excellent on-line support (by phone or live chat) from their very knowledgeable customer support staff.
Good luck.
Black squiggle lines appearing on screen
what happens if you connect the remote to the computer without any batteries are you having the same problem if so try a firmware upgrade if you still have the same issue it's certainly defective contact Logitech to find out how to get it replaced
I have a harmony oneremotethat my dog bit i took
Getting a replacement case is almost impossible from Logitech However...
Try looking on Ebay or other auction sites...find one thats "Broken" that you can salvage parts from? Those sites can kinda be like a junkyard for you to get what you need. Just look for ones that "Dont work " or better yet look for " Not tested" or "Not sure if it works" you get the idea....sure beats paying another 250.00 for another "Sweet" remote.
I hope this helps you out. 8-)
PROGRAMING A LOGITECH HARMONY ONE?
It looks like you are speaking about the soft keys when you are in the "watch TV" activity and you have a cable box. These buttons exactly match your original remote. In other words the "A" button on the screen of the Harmony will do the same thing as the "A" button on your original cable remote. If these buttons are not functional on your original remote or if your original remote does not have them I would get rid of them. This is done by logging into your software. Go to the activities page and you will see a link to "customize buttons" under the watch TV activity, click on that. You will then see a page with two tabs that will say "standard buttons" and "additional buttons". Click on "additional buttons" and you will see the "A" "B" "C" and so on. Click on the trash can icon and you will have reomoved that button.
As for programing favorites go back to the Activities page and click settings below the watch TV activity. Select "setup favorite channels and add icons" and click next. Now you are on the page where you can add your favorite channels. Have fun with this and pay attention to the hints on the right hand side.
The harmony one different ir-channels
If you have the original remote set with a diferent channel then you can learn each button individually. I have called customer support and they have magical ways of getting things to work on there end. Before you call or while you are on hold log in to your software and have your remote plugged in. It will take a little while to get to the second level of support but it can be worth it. 1-866-291-1505
Activities button won't work
Have you tried the "help" button? That usually rights anything wrong with the unit, by itself.
If not, connect it to a PC, and let it re-program itself.

choose the activity;
go to settings
choose options
find the option "play on enter" Choose "do not send play"
Can't connect to usb port
Hi all!
I had the exact same problem - the remote recognized the USB connection but my computer (MacBook with Leopard) / Logitech software did not. I took the advice of bfuzcsvxvgk and it worked like a charm. I wasn't sure what the "Home" folder that he or she referred was, so instead I entered "Logitech" into the Spotlight finder and the Logitech folder came up. There was only one file (usblancognac.cmd) in the folder and I deleted it. After that I reopened the Harmony Remote software and it opened! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Hope this helps if you are having problems!

Need logitech z340 control pod or compatible controller even if not logitech brand
The Logitech Z-340 control pod or a compatible controller can be found in a few different places. Here are a few options:
- Logitech website: You can check the Logitech website to see if they still carry the control pod or compatible controller for the Z-340.
- Online retailers: You can check online retailers such as Amazon, eBay, and Best Buy to see if they have the control pod or compatible controller in stock.
- Specialized Electronic retailers: Some specialized electronic retailers like B&H, Newegg, and Fry's may have the control pod or compatible controller.
- Local electronics stores: You can check local electronics stores in your area to see if they have the control pod or compatible controller in stock.
- Second-hand marketplaces: You can also try checking second-hand marketplaces like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and OfferUp to see if someone is selling a used control pod or compatible controller.
It's important to note that, if you decide to go for a non-Logitech controller, you should make sure it's compatible with your Logitech Z-340. And it's best to check the compatibility before buying the controller.
