You didn't indicate the type of phone. Using the google account registered on the phone becomes a problem since in nearly all cases the data connection on the phone was left OFF. You may know your account and password but the phone isn't connecting to the internet to confirm. You are now left with the only option of hard resetting the phone and obviously you will lose all the contacts and installed applications too. But that is not a problem. If you had synced your contacts to your google account, once you register into your account again, all your phone numbers will be available again. Always be syncing your contacts with your google account. Newer phones models can be recovered by a technician without losing anything.

It's unfortunate, but the only real way to correct this is to reset the phone.
1. Power off your phone.
2. Press your volume-up button, your home button and your power button till your System Recover Screen comes up.
3. Scroll down to "wipe data/factory reset"and press the home button to select this option.
4. A confirmation screen comes up. Scroll down to "YES - DELETE ALL USER" and then press the home button.
5. Select the "Reboot System Now" option next and wait for your phone to reboot

Simultaneously hold down the volume up button, the Home button (the button in the center below the screen) and the Power button.

Keep holding. After a few seconds the logo Samsung Galaxy Pocket; then release the button.
Check your phone boots in recovery mode.
Select "wipe data / factory reset". Use the volume rocker to highlight this option and confirm the selection by pressing the Home button (in this mode, touching the screen does not work).

Select "Yes - delete all user data" in a similar manner on the following menu.Wait a few seconds while the full reset. The phone will return to the first menu.

Your speaker/mic may have gotten damaged, that often happens to me if mine gets wet. Mine will usually go away after a few days, and if you know it got somewhat wet, try the soaking in rice trick.

you can't add a photo which you have sent through Bluetooth as it is stored in a emulated environment. try to move the photo first on your images folder or whichever folder you want thereby removing it from the emulated environment. then go to contacts, tap menu, tap the contact you want to edit, tap the image, tap assign or replace, then locate the images you move and assigned it.

else you can also try the work around.
locate the folder where you stored the transferred photo, tap the image, tap menu, tap set as, there are some options asking you what you want to do, set as wallpaper, etc and one of them is set as contact photo, tap set as contact photo, locate the contact whom you want to assign the image and then tap save.

hope this helps.. :)
