How to Fix Android Wifi Problems - Samsung Galaxy s gt5300
How old is the phone? Any chance its still under warranty? Your telecom provider will let you know if it is. Just request them to check the imei or serial no. at the back of the phone. Once in warranty (which is 2 years) you are entitled to have this issue repaired by Samsung. There are no tricks to fixing wifi if its not working on the phone.
if the wifi works for eg outside and not at home there could be issues with the router/modem being used. Check the age of the device because aomtimes old ones can only support three connections or less to the Internet. Modern standard home routers can support up to ten. If there are many devices using the same modem check that this may be the reason by resetting the router and logging onto the wifi to see if it works.
good luck.

How can i correct my imei to my phone
OK, Hi and I'm going to try to explain one of the reason this happen and if possible how to fix it.
All Androids smartphone comes with folder within the root called EFS, in this folder there s the information that you need to fix your imei problem. Now, the reason, most of the time, for this to happen is when the owner try to update, or root the phone and/or try to install an unofficial ROM.
In this case, I recommend that you download the original or the latest stock firmware for your model and save it in your computer (Windows) then download a software called Odin. What I'm trying to explain here is that you need to flash a new stock firmware in order to recover your imei. This should recover the EFS folder. If you are having trouble understanding my post here, then I recommend that you take it to a professional to fix it. If you decide to go ahead with Odin, then I'll be more than glad to help you out or at least post a link with a video on how to flash with Odin. I'll wait for your respond. Have a good day.
