Heppa filter keeps popping off when i turn on the
Hi There, 99 times out of 100 this is due to the exhaust filter being too blocked for the air to actually get through. What happens is that the pressure in the motor increases and effectively blows the filter and filter cage clean off. If you have a look at the underside of the filter I would bet that it is very dirty and you will need to buy a new

Cord rewinder on a Electrolux model C102J vacum cleaner
Hi there Johnd, SmartAlec from
Nelsonvacuums.com.au here. I fix vacuums full time for a living and the first time i had this problem with the australian version of this vacuum it tok me an hour to pull it apart and back together. now i have done a dozen or so it is about a 30minute operation. I dont know what you rate your technical skill level at but i give this machine a 8/10 for hardness. It is most likely that the cord has jumped off the reel and is wedged so it shouldn't require parts but it cant be done without nearly stripping it down. There is no reset or similar for the reel. My advice unless your very confident take it to a repairer. It would be 1/2 - 1hr of labour charge only i would think.
Hope this helps.

My electrolux Twin clean started
it was probably a buid up inside the hose that let loose all of a sudden.take it apart and use a soft plastic like a straw to clean it.do not use wire as it can damage something.a pair of tweezers works good too.

Vacuum cleaner

I need to buy a vacuum cleaner - the flooring in our house is mainly Oregon pine with loose rugs. I suffer from back problems and find the cylinder vacuums cause a great deal of back strain. I have been told that an upright vacuum is not suitable for wooden floors - I would appreciate any advice, particularly if you knows of an upright vacuum cleaner that works well on wooden floors. Thank you
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Well, I can think of a couple of solutions for you and I hope they will help. #1. The first thing that came to mid was to stick with the canister vacuum with good suction but instead of dragging the canister vacuum around and having it irritate your back problems you can have a longer hose made in the length that would be comfortable for you and to use not a vinyl brush with black bristles, instead you can use a good horsehair brush of which is better for the wood floors and will not scratch the wood floors. #2. It does not have a lot of suction but id you buy an electric broom like Hoover or Eureka you can convert the plastic tool that comes with it from the factory and use and adaptor and install a good horsehair brush, it like an upright but the cord is much shorter, you may have to use an extension cord. #3. if you own your own home you can install to your existing home a central vac with a 30 or 35 foot house with wands and a horsehair brush and then you can go in any direction but then your hose is much longer. Or you can shorten your hose to 20 or 25 feet , but then you are adding more inlets to your existing home, it is up to you. A central vac straight suction is less than an est of $750.00 or less depending on the unit your purchase but a lot easier and all your got to do is empty the bag or dirt cup from out in the garage and the sound is also out in the garage or down the basement . A local vacuum cleaner dealer can assist you with any of the 3 choices that I suggested. I hope this will help you. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
Thanks, Don the Vac Man
