I can not burn audio
you need to provide a little more info please. What windows O/S are you running. What cd creation package are you using. Has it only just stopped working? never worked? Please give as much detail however small. Your question at the moment is like giving a suspect description and saying "the mugger had skin". :-)
My DVD-RW has stopped burning.
Try uninstalling the burner using the Device manager and letting Windows reinstall the drivers on reboot.
Right click on My Computer then Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > click on the '+' next to DVD/CD ROM drives, right click on the drive and 'uninstall'. Reboot and Windows will re-install the drive.

Is this drive a new addition or have you had it and this just started?
Have you changed your OS?
Make sure you have all of the service packs for your OS.
If you have 2 optical drives try setting this 1 as slave and the other as master.
Update your firmware to the latest version at this link. The 112 series is about half way down.

Laser burned out
If you are convinced that the laser burned out, the most you can do is to buy a new drive. It's possible to buy a new diode and replace it, but it's highly not recommended as it might not be compatible and can be very dangerous.
It dosn't recognize disk is in the recorder
If it has never worked, you should contact the support from the store you brought this in, or contact the manufacturer for more about its warranty, if it has one. Make sure that the cables are plugged in properly, the discs are working on another drive, and see if it needs any drivers.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
